As a season ticket holder if I am going to pay full price for a ticket I’d rather have a game of equal value

    18 Games.
I'll be upfront, I'd hate it.
Problem is, I have no say in the matter and some clown named Goodell does.

Even more frustrating was the fact that Robert Kraft missed the obvious.
Roster needs to increase, I'd say to 60 maybe.
And the cap would need to be raised not only for additional players but to be able secure good backups.
Several key players went down this past year and took a couple teams out of the running. That's always a risk but we are not talking 12 games.

The preseason is used to look at your rookies as well as some free agents and make adjustments as needed.
Also, you want to tune up your starters.
2 games kind of narrows the window and I really hate losing starters to preseason injury. So maybe that's good.

I'm not real big on the international games. In fact, that maybe the dealbreaker for me and turns my attention to professional curling or sar-cast-a-ball instead of the NFL.
Getting rid of Goodell won't solve much, the same thing happens when the next in line takes office.
I really think they should focus more on the immediate need, Refs.

    That's completely understandable.

Many people that comment against it aren't paying for season tickets and didn't get jammed up for a PSL and every year have to pay full price for preseason games. It has always been a money grab, and completely unfair to do that to fans that are season ticket holders.

I have always said that the season ticket holders get screwed and are taken advantage of, so at least if they go to 18-game seasons...you're paying for real competitive football for more of those tickets you are forced to purchase with one less preseason game.

I always thought that preseason games should be a modest fee. If they did that, the games would be packed as fans would be happy to get to those games for a reasonable price. Also, if a season ticket holder couldn't make it to the game, they wouldn't have to eat most of the cost of that ticket or just give them away. It would be much easier for you to move those tickets, and you wouldn't have to take the financial hit that so many fans are forced to deal with.

FWIW, I think we do all have a say in the matter.

And the say we actually have (watching games) will be that we like watching more games.

Which is why the league wants to have more games.

This is also why I don't go and buy all the streaming services the league wants me to buy to watch all the games. It's also why I dropped the ticket after having it the first year it was on Youtube and I only got to see something like 5 Steelers games on it. And something like one game in the last 5 because the league scheduled and then moved our games outside of Sunday 1 and 4.

I might have kept paying for it if they allowed the in-market or non 1 & 4 pm games to be viewed on replay later in the week. But you could only watch those games later if you set them to record...which you could only do when they were available on Sundays.

It's not hard to see why so many people pirate NFL games IMO.

We should actually go back to a 16 game schedule, go back to 4 preseason games and eliminate Thursday night football.

want to make more money owners? Insure the safety of your stars and increase their chances of playing a full season.

I'd take it a step further.... more Sunday 1pm and 4pm games. Bye weeks can only happen during weeks 6-10... none earlier, none later. Cut Thursday and Sunday Night prime time games. Keep MNF. Start the season a week earlier on Labor Day weekend. Play the Super Bowl... last Sunday of January, like it used to be played.

As long as people watch, they will keep making more games, and there is nothing us b!+ching about it will help. I don't like the Thursday night games the most, and so the only time I will ever watch a Thursday night game is if the Steelers play.

It would be good for players in that it will increase the amount of money that goes to players. The league will get more revenue. And they will probably increase the revenue share of the players (like they did when they went from 16 to 17 games).

It will probably be not good injury wise for players who get a high amount of snaps. And even for guys who get low snap counts, it will still increase their probability of getting injured.
