The $64,000 question of the day is...

What does Mike M. think of Arron Rodgers QB play now?

Any hints from the media? When does Rodgers go on his darkness vacation.

Is he as of right now committed to playing in 2026?

I hope he retires. If not I do hope the Steelers draft a Quarterback before round 3 ends.

If Rodgers wants more say 5 million than he earned in 2025, show him the door.

    I count 3 questions
    are they 21,333.33 a pop or 64K a pop?
192,000 from the Rooneys is in itself questionable.

    I don't think he's committed to play.

But my guess is that both Rodgers and the Steelers expect that he'll be their QB in the fall.

My guess is that Rogers can get them to increase the $$ they offer by playing coy like this.

And the team doesn't really have a second option...unless someone thinks Cousins can be a starter. I think it's pretty clear that they won't start Rudolph or Howard.

This not the year you want to reach for a QB in the draft.

I am tired of people saying old and washed up ..He threw this ball 60 yards on a dime the WR failed..He actually did this at least 10 times on the season and the WR'S broke the route off or dropped the ball..He hit Metcalf on crossing patterns at least 15 times and he dropped the ball ..

AR is still very smart he knows the right play to get into he knows how to slide the protection , he knows where the Hot routes should be run ..He needs talent around him that's willing to learn and master the playbooks and the route combos..

AR is the best option for MM and his system , they both know he is coming back and that money thing is just BS ..They already have a number agreed on...

AR is also best for the future as he can Teach the future WR'S and QB'S what is needed to compete on the NFL level..

This is the MM plan learn to do things the right way all the time and that work and extra work will help them as players to become the best they can be..Is why Roman is learning how to run routes and how to pace his routes and what to do and when to do it..Hopefully looking at film several hours every day from multiple Teams ..Learn what a Defense is doing find it's strengths look for the scheme and how it adjust .. Then plan how to make them do things they really don't want to or can't do ...Yes the WR needs to do this each and every week , slight adjustments are the difference between Completions and Interceptions..

The QB and the WR'S need to be seeing the same thing at the same time ...AR is hard on them study the Tape put in the time ..If not you don't deserve snaps it's not fair to the Team...

    Just let Rodgers walk.
He wasn't even that good and played terrible in the playoff game.

You can read interviews and watch things from INSERT FAVORITE OLD QB HERE and they all say the same thing.

The ability to throw the ball a country mile is the last thing to go. I have come across comments in the past year or so from both Ben and Favre saying they are pretty sure they can both still chuck the ball - but they couldn't play QB any longer.

Rodgers can not move and then reset and throw well any longer. He does not evade the rush well. He is not as accurate on throws into tight spaces as he used to be. All of these things show up in his comically low yards per pass (https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/player-stat/gross-yards-per-passing-attempt) and his really low time to throw.

Agree that Rodgers is still super savvy and excellent at identifying things. Even Ben was at the end.

I do not believe either one was all that good at playing QB in their last few seasons.

    I wouldn't hate it.

But I also don't mind if we have a few down years.

I even gave him the link

    And nothing

Rodgers and MM both said they talk regularly

Rodgers made it clear the Steelers have not made an offer yet

So there really is nothing more to this other just than another post

I think Mike McCarthy answered most of this yesterday at the owners meeting. You should get more info today when Khan and Rooney speak.

From a Rodgers coming back perspective, McCarthy did say when he talks to Aaron they are talking about everything that is gong on in the building. To me this indicates Rodgers does have his feet in the water, and is watching closely what Khan is doing this offseason.

I personally feel that Aaron wants to see what the Steelers do in the draft. How much help are Khan and McCarthy wanting to give him this year? A QB early by the Steelers would probably not fly well with Aaron.

And.....their fear of getting hit raises every year.
Simple example: Think of the things you would do in your teens, and then in your 20s, and 30s, and the older you get the less likely you would do them, or even chance them. He simply doesn't want to get touched anymore, and that is something we have seen from many old Qbs, and it's hard to play the position correctly that way. You are going to get hit.
Yes He has the arm, and the head for the game, but He also has fear he didn't have 5 years ago. It happens to everyone, whether they want to admit it or not, and the more the intelligence, the more the imagination, the more the fear.
You are going to get hit in this game. It's impossible not to.

15 seasons with the GB Packers and A-hole I mean Rod led those Packers to 11 Playoff appearances. Only made it to 5 NFCCG's where he went 1-4. One Super Bowl out of all that.

Certainly won't get excited for the 2026-27 campaign with him as our starter.

If AR doesnt have to worry about pass pressure he’ll do really well in 2026.
