Steelers would do well with a top 10 draft pick in 2027. Much better draft than the one upcoming in April. I wouldn't shed a tear if this was a rebuilding season with more losses than wins.

Not sure why you're disagreeing wuth my post.

They set the expectations, not me, this team should have been blown up a while ago. We should be in the top 10 this year.

But Art didn't want to rebuild so that told me to expect playoff wins with MM and AR, so anything less than will be a failure on my view.

I don't believe Steelers are Super Bowl contenders or anywhere close in 2026, unless something miraculous happens. This is a bottom half team.... realistically ranked anywhere from 17-24 in the NFL.

Me neither, but that's what they told me to expect, so that's the standard I'm holding them to. Playoff wins or bust. So if we don't win playoff games this season will be a failure, and I suspect the worst kind of failure at that, one that lands you at #21 in the NFL draft (again), not in the top 10.

It would take a "Kurt Warner of 1999 Rams" type of miracle at the QB position for Steelers to be a contender with the elite teams of the AFC.

Not to mention a team that has won 10 games 3 seasons straight. If we don't win at least 10 games , I don't want to hear excuses. The only way I will feel ok about winning less than 10 games is if we go with a Rookie Qb, or Howard.

It doesn't change the fact that the NFC South winner had a losing record .

Last playoff win was in 2017 against KC. The rear view hasn't been kind. And getting blown out after that one win.

So I do understand and agree with you. Might be on the short end of the stick again.

Bringing Rodgers back to me is pushing another QB down again and wasting a year. Although "Run it Back" Rooney II would disagree.

Lets see how much Art II's wallet will be open for Rodgers. He will expect a nice raise. Or pass. Hope its the latter...
