I didn't say you, but I seen someone blaming it on the other guy for not liking him.
Did you miss all that?? It was for anyone that would think it , of me, and like I said I wouldn't have added it if I hadn't seen someone else use it already.

Oh come on man. You have seen a ton of my posts, and I've seen a ton of yours. There is none of that in either of us.

That wasn't to you, or anyone in specific. It was because I seen someone mention it to someone else.
It's like if someone throws a rock, and hits you, and you look around and say, the next MF that throws a rock gets an a$$ kicking, and I'm in that group that's around you. I know you aren't talking to me, because I didn't throw the rock. LoL
    Hope that makes sense. LoL

    Exactly.

Yes, and when Kordell completed a pass it was often not pretty. I remember cringing each time he was about to pass. I didn't know if his pass would be a completion, INT, skipped across the ground or lost in the food concession area. He didn't have much of a touch.

    In Kordell best 3 years.
1997: He was 24th in completion % compared to the rest of the league that year.
1998: He was 22nd in completion % compared to the rest of the Qbs that year.
2001: He jumped up to 14th. LoL

He was fourth in the offensive player of the year voting one of those seasons. I guess you don't understand how the game changed in the 20-plus years between those two careers.

You also left out rushing yards, which were a part of how Stewart affected games.

If he was very good(in 1997 and 2001) then why did teams stack the box and force Kordell to beat them with his arm? How did he do in the post-season?

Yes, he was quite athletic, which is why he should have remained in his slash role. I am talking about him as a passer. That is mainly what QBs do. If you can't pass you can't succeed in the NFL. You believe a 72 QB rating is very good during that time. I don't agree at all. I don't believe many people find that to be very good in that time. Also, did you see yards per attempt? Kordell needed a dumb-downed playbook.

So the next excuse to protect Kordell is talk about how football was 20 years ago. We all saw Kordell play 20 years ago. He was not good. Do you want to compare him to the average QB stats during that time?

I don't get how fans watched Kordell play, but couldn't see that he sucked.

I watched him live at every home game he played

Never once did I think he would be a good quarterback

    He occasionally made good plays

But pretty much everyone in the stands knew he was never going to be the guy

    Kind of like watching Bubby

Exactly. You just hoped like I have since Ben left that the coaching, D, ST, and everything else would be enough. Yeah he had some spectacular highlights, but he had so many low lights. It was the simple Qb stuff that he sucked at. Throw a perfect pass down the sidelines then throw into triple coverage in the middle of the field, or a simple 3 yard dump off into the dirt, and grass 3 feet in front of the player. I still to this day say Ward got so good at catching because everything was either at his feet, way above him, or way behind him during that time.

Even in this era he would throw untimely picks.
