Maybe you meant to say that Pickett acted as if he had been promised he job, then they handed it to Wilson, but that isn't what you wrote. Also, I don't remember anyone here suggesting that Pickett was promised the starting job for that season.

 

He left because the Steelers handed Wilson the job, then showed no patience in dealing with his reaction.
