Ignores context. He could have easily gone sooner but you have inept teams like Cleveland taking Gabriel in the 3rd and even Sanders before him. He’s better than both those guys.

Rodgers, Cousins, Rudolph or whatever retread they throw out there wouldnt be a shaky plan?

I’ll go with the unknown that has upside and if the team crashes and burns so what, they’ll finally be in a position to draft a QB high without giving away the farm.

No one said to throw him out there if he sucks in camp. Didnt think that captain obvious statement needed to be made.

Have you not been paying attention

Many people here have suggested anointing him the starter right here and now

What is obvious to you or I is oblivious to some

Cleveland wasn't the only team to pass on him until the sixth round. That the Browns are stupid doesn't make Howard a better prospect.

According to your post, the theory was that Pickett ran away despite being told he would be the starter. Oops.

I thought Pickett left because Steelers signed Russell Wilson to a contract.

I read it just fine the first time. You just mangled your post.

Maybe you meant to say that Pickett acted as if he had been promised he job, then they handed it to Wilson, but that isn't what you wrote. Also, I don't remember anyone here suggesting that Pickett was promised the starting job for that season.

He left because the Steelers handed Wilson the job, then showed no patience in dealing with his reaction.

Nice of you to finally acknowledge that the Steelers handed the job to Wilson. Glad you came around and saw the truth of the situation.

Hello all you boys and girls
I'd like to take you to the inside world
It's quite an irregular place to be
But never fear you're safe with me
    Well, maybe

Like I said, the Steelers did a good job selling a story and quite a few folks here were suckered into believing it!

    Nope wrong again

They rightly showed no patience in how Pickett handled it

I’m starting to think English is not your first language or are you just challenged

Now get your last word in and shoo
