    Agreed.

Can be applied for both cases; depth is needed for rotation as rotation of IDLs cannot work without proper depth.

This is a good solid signing.
Joseph-Day can play all the techniques, makes him very versatile.
And he's been around some real good DL-men.

True but a little rich in the first round where you would need to take him to get him when we have other needs. Maybe pick up DJ Reader on the cheap in FA or draft a Corleone in round 4.

Exactly. I think the issue with both of the. Is they are smallish linebackers so they need protection up front.

not to rich in the first for him. he will bring a team a solid force in the middle for years. he's one of those guys that quietly does his job every play and makes the guys around him better.

It will help his cause if he can get 100 sacks. Or close to it.

I’m not disputing his pedigree but position wise we have more pressing needs, guard for example.

But I was told here that I’d just a one or two down player

I heard it here so it must be true

Even if it’s a one or two down player it’s needed.

There are good guards in this draft beyond the first round. I'm for any player that makes the team better. Chasing a need usually doesn't work well. If we are drafting a position it is a need. If a player can strengthen the position plus the players around them it raises the team overall it will work well for the team. I doubt they go D-line two years in a row but he would fix this line for years to come, with what we already have.

If You can do that with little, or no drop off, you are ahead of the game.
