I think if you journey to see your team in Pittsburgh, it is more of a pilgrimage than a road trip.

One year because I live in FLorida now I went to all three Steeler games in Jacksonville, Tampa, and Miami. I think they lost all 3 games that year.
Been to Jacksonville and Steelers about 3 times. Same with Miami and Steelers 2 times. Been to Pittsburgh about 6 times including championship games against the Pats. Best of them all was the Super bowl in Tampa with Arizona and Steelers.

    TRS probably 10 times (home)
Heinz Field/Acrisure probably 7 times (away)
Cincinnati probably 7 times (away but home now).
Indianapolis 4 times (favorite away stadium)
Detroit once. Favorite away game experience.
    Buffalo once.
    Las Vegas once.
    Atlanta twice.

Other NFL stadiums for concerts only. Cleveland, Washington DC.

I did in fact make a pilgrimage to the Three Rivers Stadium. My reward was watching the Steelers shut out the Houston Oilers 20-0! A most excellent dad spent with my Dad.

The fans were nice. I remember saying to my Dad, what are the people booing for? A man seated close to me said they were yelling Lou, not boo! As in Louis Lipps..

Are you going to be there for the NFL draft? Sounds like you have a personal parking spot.

I’m waiting to hear from the Steelers

I do have a parking pass for the games next to the stadium

I tend to get perks of upgrades from them

I probably will not be in attendance when the Steelers make their first pick

I don’t like driving at night in crowds/traffic with drunks

Giants when Ben and Eli went at it as rookies in 2004

Jets in 2013. Was their first win of the season.

I know it doesn't count but several trips to Pittsburgh both at Three Rivers and Heinz/Acrisure.

Ive made the trip to Minneapolis 3 times. Once was a preseason game, Justin Kurpeikis was on the team still so that should tell you how long ago that was. The other 2 were regular season. Every other time they have played the Vikings it was either play in UK/Ireland or a Thursday night game that I could get off work. My dad and I were part of the 2005 game where Tice complained Steeler Nation took over the metrodome.

About 25 years ago I was in a private box in Philly for a Stealers/Eagles game. The governor was in the adjacent box. By coincidence we both left at the same time to go to the men’s room. Wearing my Steelers jersey I looked at him and told him his Eagles jersey was ugly. When his large body guard stepped forward and glared at me I skedaddled.

Well home games are an 8 hour drive each way, so I consider those road trips.

Meadowlands and SB 43 in Tampa are my only others.

2011 AFCCG was my last game though. Turned down invite to last years Jet game. I’d rather be on the golf course TBH.

Man after my own heart. What pisses me off is when the Eagles play at 1:00 I assume the course won't be crowded since 90% of the members are Eagle fans. What happens is they show up with their damn radios blaring the game all over the course. :@

That’s the game where Ben hit Wallace for a 95 yard TD. At the time it
Was the longest pass play in Pittsburgh Steelers history. We were up high enough that when it left his hand I said, “ all he’s got him” to my girl.

“ It was something to see!”

Bubby Brister was running for his life the whole game. At least i got to see Chuck still coaching the team.

I had that same moment but in the opposite way 2 years ago in Buffalo when Allen hit his receiver on the 3rd play of the day from his own 1 yard line on 3rd and 11 for a TD. We had opposite end zone seats 11 rows up and I told my son he’s gone! Bills fans were going nuts. We lost 41 to 10 but I remember MT calling a TO with about 58 seconds on the clock and screaming at Tomlin, what? Do you have a 38 point drawn up?”. He heard every word and turned away. Bills fans were laughing so hard. They did score a TD though to make it 41-10. What a great time we had though. Bills fans were asking why we stayed to the last second. Told them my father wouldn’t have it any other way. He passed away about 5 years before.

You’re right about Philly. I actually was afraid just sitting in my seat minding my own business. Scared of that place.
