But if you're the Titans you have to overpay for free agents see Dan Moore.

That’s a good point. I also forget Robinson’s former coach is there now.

He is to me. Separation isn't just about sharp route running, it's the ability to get in a position where you can get the ball and your defender can't. Metcalf's routes have improved, but he's probably still average at best in getting open there. His game is still built around straight-line speed and size to get "open." Short and deep routes are where he's most effective.

Pittman used to be considered top-10 in separation prior to his back injury two years ago. He's still above average and does best with intermediate routes.

Neither may be a great WR1 on their own, but they make an impressive tandem.

Pittmans best QB’s were Danny Dimes and Joe Flacco.

And now he goes to a team where he has no idea who the QB will be. Maybe 42 yo Aaraon Rodgers.

Kinda wished they offer the same to Shaheed. Seems like a more dynamic WR and a good KR as a bonus. But can’t be too upset about Pittman. He can compete with the best of them when healthy

I don't think you are wrong. IMO, they overpaid.

Guy who has yet to have a stable QB joins club who has started seven in five years - Khan found the perfect WR2.

Stick that one in your pipe, @Karl@Karl. ;)

Steelers acquire WR Michael Pittman Jr. from Colts for late-round pick swap

The NFL is crazy. A year ago, if you polled a thousand NFL fans, all thousand would have said that Michael Pittman Jr. is a better receiver than Alec Pierce. Yet, the Colts just gave Pierce $116 million and sent Pittman packing for a late-round pick swap. What!?

Pittman isn’t a great receiver by any means, but he’s the perfect No. 2 possession receiver, which is exactly what the Steelers needed. Pittman will be a great Robin to Pittsburgh’s Batman (DK Metcalf), and yet the Steelers barely had to give up anything for him. What an incredible trade for the Steelers.

    Grade for Steelers – A+
    Grade for Colts – MILLEN

If Roman can develop Steelers will have a half way decent WR room….for our 43 year old Qb…if he can hang in the pocket and give the play time unfold

or give our 6th round pick targets while he's learning. Going to be an interesting post Tomlin/‘purgatory’ era year

They can get this with drafting KC Concepcion.

I think Roman Wilson has the tools and now that Arthur Smith is gone, he’ll have a good shot. I’m still hoping they draft a solid WR though.

And yet he’s been a successful WR in the NFL despite that murderer’s row of QB talent. I’m liking this move more and more. A guy like Pittman would really help a young QB.

We have a new regime. Laugh at them if you must. Just be aware Roman Wilson made plays when given the chance. He stood out in one game. Busts seldom do this. I say give him a chance. He should have a fresh start to prove his worth. And he will with McCarthy! Turst his judgemet over Tomlin and his staff, I do.

Out of Tomiln's dog house he is. Tomlin and his OC are OUT. They picked who played and when. Dylan Cook has been noticed, not because of the foresight of our X coaches, rather it was necessity due to injuries of our OT's that gave him a chance.

I'd like to think after mini camp, 20 practices in regular camp, and the preseason a professional coach would know what a man is capable of.

I don't see why people think this threatens the Steelers' picking a WR high in the draft. We still need a receiver to stretch the field and take coverage off DK. If we get a stud WR deep threat to add to DK, Pittman and the TE's we have, then all we need is a QB to throw to them to have a dangerous offense.
