Your unsupported opinion is noted and given the lack of consideration it deserves.

He was a backup in Philadelphia, where he won his only start. Injuries wiped out any chance he had in Cleveland. His teams won more than they lost despite the shackles Tomlin put on him in Pittsburgh. When exactly was he in even a decent situation?

He gets hurt every time he gets extended playing time, so no, I'm not sure any team will trust him even as their primary backup.

You have no idea what those guys would have done with him. Anyone arguing that the system had nothing to do with Pickett's limited production in Pittsburgh wasn't paying attention to the Matt Canada offense and Tomlin's terrible handling of Pickett.

We have had this discussion. I have explained this to you repeatedly. You are incapable of acknowledging that you present opinion as fact, either because you don't understand the difference or you are too stubborn to admit it. You are also incapable of conducting this discussion in a civil manner.

I understand what he said after the fact, after the team botched the situation and threw him under the bus and he had little choice.

Please stop falsely accusing me of lying. Your claims regarding his motivation were made up in your own head. At best, they are opinions, not facts.

Then how come the other teams Pickett went to didn't get anything out of him either , besides when he got his chance with the Steelers he couldn't stay on the field because of injuries.

Would you agree that he has proven that he can develop a “young” QB if we drop the word “rookie?”

Not sure to what extent. I seen him develop a guy, and then quickly traded him for a guy that was in the league already for 12 years. Seems to me if He was able to develop young Qbs he would do that, instead of giving up the Young Qb he had , two 1st round draft picks, and a 3rd round draft pick for a 12 year vet.
Again I'm not saying He can't. I'm saying I haven't really seen it.
Just seems strange people say He can really coach up rookie Qbs, and yet we have never seen it, and the youngest Qb we've seen him with ,He traded for a old vet.
All in all it doesn't seem like something he really wants to do.

Fair enough. I didn’t think Goff was as good as his stats indicated he was back then. I commend the Rams for having the balls to do that deal despite having a young QB who had gotten to a SB and had good stats. It obviously worked out for them.

Oh yeah. It did work out. No, see, most people misunderstand me.
I think he's a great HC, but that doesn't mean because he's a great head coach that he is a Qb whisper, or that he can coach up a rookie Qb, and yet somehow this butt hurts some people.
You can be a awesome HC, and not be some awesome Qb developer for rookies.
For example: If I was a great HC, and I was really known for coaching up , let's say DBs, I wouldn't trade my young DB, and two 1st round, and a 3rd round pick for a older vet, I would use those picks for getting other , cheaper DBs I could coach up.

True, it appears he could've handled it better from our vantage point. But no one outside the locker room knows exactly what was going on. I'll admit, I thought he was improving once Canada was let go. When they didn't let him start once he had recovered from his injury and was cleared to play, and Tomlin wanted to 'ride the hot hand' with Rudolph I thought he was done in Pittsburgh from that point on. Before the signing Russell Wilson talk began.

If Pickett was all that, Philly would have kept him to be a good backup. If he was all that, he would have shown it in Cleveland, and they would have kept him.

If Pickett was really ever going to be a viable NFL starter, he would have shown more than he did, even under Tomlin, even under Canada.
