Love looks nice. It looks like we had a meeting with him, but I doubt we get a shot at him.

rather have a better bu going into the season than two unproven guys. I would keep those top 100 picks for some other holes.

Taylen Green as a WR? There is no way he would be a decent QB.

    40: 4.36
    Broad Jump: 11', 2"
    Vertical: 43.5"
    Hands: 9 7/8"
    Height: 6', 6"
    Arms: 34 3/4"

Is NT Lee Hunter back in play for the Steelers with an early 3rd round pick after his disaster of a combine performance?

This performance definitely killed all his hopes of sliding up into the 1st round. Could that 21" vertical be the worst of all time for a D-Lineman in the modern error?

    AI-Answer
Texas Tech DT Lee Hunter recorded one of the worst vertical jumps by a defensive tackle in recent memory at the 2026 NFL Combine, posting a 21.5-inch vertical. This jump was 6 inches shorter than any other participant that day. Another notable low-vertical performance was by Joey Mbu in 2015, who had a 22.5-inch vertical.

2026 NFL Combine Day 1 Winners and Losers: Ohio State's Styles Leaps, Texas Tech's Hunter Disappoints - NBC Sports
The stocky tackle recorded the second-slowest 40-yard dash (5.18s = 46th%) and third-slowest 10-yard split (1.79s = 35th%) from the DT group. Even more concerning was Hunter’s 29th% broad jump (8’04”) and floor scraping 21.5” vertical that ranks in the 2nd-percentile of all-time Combine defensive linemen. While Hunter has been considered a dark-horse first rounder, it’s hard to envision teams betting on an interior lineman with a 37th% athletic profile, regardless of on field production.

Is this why all those idiots at the Combine were Booing him??? I hope they take the combine away from Indianapolis for this crap. None of these kids deserve to get boo'd at the combine; they already have enough stress on them at this event.

It is just crazy this happened during the middle of all his combine workout.

Bad look for the City of Indianapolis and the NFL.

With Kamara on the back side of his career and young QB in NOrleans . This makes sense. I wouldn't be surprised if he went earlier than that. He is that good.

Thats not how I would approach finding a franchise guy. Improve your odds, cast as many lines as you can, most will come back empty.

I understand that, I just disagree on him not being a first rd talent.

Thats the fun of evaluating prospects, not everyone will have the same rankings.

That clip wasn’t pretty…. If I get a chance I may look for more interview footage of him. Also wondering what his behavior was like on the sideline during games and what his teammates thought of him. It could have just been a case of his agent saying “project confidence” and him being clueless about what that meant.

Hunter isn't going to last until the third round just because of a bad combine.

And what if the 2027 QB class flames out like the 2026 class did.

I only watched the first 4 minutes, but he seemed more authentic and down to earth in this earlier interview.

Of the 10, Chris Brazzell II shocked me quite a bit. I surely didn't see a 4.3 player and the game tape I reviewed doesn't translate to that timed speed either. Gonna have to see what his GPS Speed read during the Season to see if that much is true.

Regardless, that is a great time for him! :applaud: Still don't like the 40 yard dash at all but still good for CB II all the same.

Idk. The chances of finding a franchise guy with a bevy of day 2 and day 3 picks doesn't seem like a good plan. Its great to have a lot of them, but most of them will be backups at best. Most high end QB's come from the first round. If we want a starter, then we likely need to go round 1. Holding out hope for the Howard/Allar/etc. of the world isn't going to yield a high hit rate. Not saying its impossible, but we probably have a higher franchise QB hit rate by drafting 2 separate first round QB's than we would drafting 10 Drew Allar's. Definitely wouldn't be how I'd approach the QB situation.

They saved the most boring position group to watch at the combine for the last day .

Its certainly possible, but not likely. Again, there's still 8-9 guys that if they were to come out this year I would have them ranked ahead of Allar. 2nd and 3rd round picks are ESSENTIAL to building a high end team. There's a lot of really good players available, and taking a low odds shot on a guy like Allar is just foolish IMO. We have other needs than to take a project shot on a QB when we could be grabbing a starting G or a starting ILB or DL.

Cant hit a HR if you dont swing.

A bevy of first rd QB’s do not pan out either.

This crap is lame it comes across as Tate's reps trying to make sure their client is a top 10 pick, how come all the other prospects times were okay with the official Combine times.

Yeah true, but they turn out a lot more often than mid-late round guys. Of NFL.com's top 15 QB list for 2025, 13 of them were first round picks. That's just the reality. I'd rather take a shot on a CB, LB, DT, G, than a low percentage shot on a massive project QB. We already have a project QB. Don't really care for another.

And the 2026 we thought there was going to be 6-7 guys go in the first round, I disagree with them having three third round picks why not take a chance on a guy with upside like Allar.
