    Bill Mazeroski passed away today.

    He was a hero to my generation of Pirate fans for.....well....for our whole lives....
    Never got tired of seeing that black and white film of Maz rounding the bases waving his cap.

    RIP Maz

    yes sad news. RIP Maz. he grew up not far from where i live. i used to golf on the golf course named after him. a local HS plays on a beautiful field that they have upgraded over the years to a first class venue named after him. :cool:

    Very sad news he was my father’s idol. We went to his HOF induction and it was an emotional day. From everything I heard about him he was a very humble and gracious man. RIP #9

    RIP Maz, his homer has gone down in history as one of the magical HR'S in world series ever.
