I would be really surprised to see Mendoza attend the combine. He is penciled in as the #1 pick overall and could only hurt himself by going to the combine. On the other hand QB's like Nussmeier, Allar and Pavia could help themselves with a good showing. Last year Jaxon Dart parlayed a Senior Bowl MVP and a great combine into being a first round pick. Will Howard's terrible combine had him fall from a 3rd or 4th round pick into our laps in the 6th round. There is a lot riding for the future of these players on their combine performance.

They should scrap the quarterbacks from the combine except for 3 to 5 quarterbacks necessary for the drills, and make those spots available for other positions.

I think Mendoza is going to attend the Combine, but he already said he won't do the drills.

I'll definitely be watching the db's... especially the longer cb's on the list like Tacario Davis and Ephesians Prysock.. if either of them run 4.4 or better they'll jump right up to day 2

There is no testing or drills for QBs at the combine that move the needle. It's pointless. The 40 times can be done during pro days and the margin of error for those between the combine and pro day timing is irrelevant.

Fans and media like to see the QBs air it out though.

Tell Jaxon Dart or Will Howard about their combine performance not "moving the needle". Dart had a great combine and was drafted in the first round. Howard had a terrible performance and tumbled to the late 6th round.

If Tacario Davis runs in the mid 4.4s, I am personally adding him into the Top 32 of all players. Tall, long rangy CBs like him who have superb flexibility and agility proportionate to his size do not come around that often. Add in his age and there is plenty of room to grow with him.

I haven't 'watched' the combine in years. I do like looking at the RaS scores and spider graphs though afterwards. Then I'll search intriguing players games on YouTube and watch their film. Just the nerdy football stuff I like to do sometimes. But I cannot just sit and watch guys run 40's or splits. I'd rather listen in on the interviews.

It can be boring at times but it's good if you're a football junkie it's good content in the offseason.

Watching the combine, especially the 40’s, is an offseason activity my wife will watch with me. She has no patience for watching something like Senior Bowl practices, especially when I pause and rewind to watch the same rep 3 times. But, she’s happy to watch fit guys in tight shorts run and jump. I wonder why?
