Boring Super Bowl. Reminded me of our SB win over the Seahawks in 2005 season a bit.

Yes we don't have a potent pass rush and the seahawks do.

in addition our o line (Fauntenu) needs to learn better technique (better coaching) or get replaced. Add in a Qb that is too old to move or take a few hits.

yes McCarthy and his staff have work to do, wont happen in a year.

It certainly doesn't hurt to play a team with a terrible o-line.

Yeah their GM is the best GM with the one in Philly in the last 15 years!

It was obvious that the Hawks had better defensive schemes and defensive coaches than the Steelers. How many times did we say we need to blitz more with not relaying on our Outside Linebackers so much. Seattle did with mostly with their defensive line and blitzed enough to frustrate Maye and company. Also the hawks were the 10 lowest price defense in the league where the Steelers one of the highest paid. Something wrong here.

I am going to disagree the Seahawks are emulating Steelers old method. The only commonality between those teams are tough defenses, which most championship teams possess.

Seattle's John Schneider more copied Howie Roseman's method of roster construction, which is being a strong GM, putting resources into the defensive line, especially the interior, and having enough talent that the Head Coach and QB don't have to be world beaters. They do not use the Steeler's way because they fire and get rid of underperforming coaches and QB's.

Both the Eagles and Seahawks ditched Superbowl winning coaches and QB's simply because they were no longer good enough. The Steelers never fire coaches, especially ones that live in the fears, and wait for them to move on.

The Steelers need to put more emphasis on performance and less on comfort/tradition in the way they do things, so we don't end up with another decade stretch of no playoff victories.
