    Andy Weidl is in Alabama scouting for the draft. I thought maybe he was gone, when I read that the Steelers have hired Steve Scarnecchia. DK Sports is reporting Weidl is currently scouting for the Steelers.

    Ifs this McCarthy adding new positions to his staff that Tomlin did not have?



    If you are wording what Scarnecchia did with the Falcons, his duties broke down like this.

    • Logistics & Scheduling: Coordinating the team's daily meeting and practice schedules, as well as the overall football calendar.
    • Budget Management: Managing the football operations budget.
    • Event Orchestration: Organizing team and staff events.
    • Administrative Support: Providing administrative assistance to the coaching and operations staff.

    Weidl is safe for now but Vikings now have a GM opening with a late firing of their GM. They arent hiring until after the draft though. Hopefully Weidl isn’t interested if they ask.

    As for Scarnecchia, just helping with scouting as far as I heard. Looks like the Steelers are expanding both coaching and now the scout department as well.

    Edit: Just read your link, I dont know, I had seen he was helping with scouting. Maybe not.

    If we lose him there’s always Mike mayock. He’d do an amazing job in the front office.
