    True.

I.think most NFL guys spend their whole careers struggling with the mental side.

Minimal impact for sure. No sacks. No ints and one pass defended.

    YES, we do.

We need to upgrade the position in free agency and the draft.

I agree. I would double dip and move Ramsey to Nickel. I like that Thianemn guy from Oregon. He is super fast and instinctual. Plays with his hair on fire.

Ramsey is no longer physically capable of playing the nickel. He started out the season doing it and was getting worked over pretty good.

Unless there's some new way to cover up his physical decline, Ramsey's either a safety or he's unemployed.

He can’t play safety either. He is good at nickel from a run support perspective and as a blitzed but you are right he can no longer cover. The problem is they take a dead money cap hit by cutting him so they might as well as keep him and play him in big nickel sub packages.

    Unless this is wrong: https://overthecap.com/player/jalen-ramsey/4718

No dead money if they cut Ramsey.

If I was in charge, I'd keep him at a vastly reduced number and consider him asthe FS or maybe some kind of pass down linebacker role. Which is probably what you meant as the nickel.

    Or just cut him.

If that’s the case I’m cutting him. Go sign the young free agent safety from Kansas City or Blankenship from Philadelphia and the. Draft Thainemn from Oregon in the second round. Thianemn can play the slot his first year while Elliot plays out his contract.

would like to see them extend Porter Jr. and Pierre as well. And draft a developmental cb in the middle rounds.

then go sign Romeo Doubs at wr and draft a Skyler Bellin the third and a Ted Hurst in the 4th at wr to build out your receiving corps.

Then move Broderick Jones to guard and draft a guard in round three and have those two and Spencer Anderson compete for the vacant guard spot due to losing Seamalu in free agency.

Finally draft a LT in round three and convert Darnell Washington to OT and have those two and Cook compete for the LT spot. Odd man out is the 6th lineman swing tackle.

‘I am assuming all of this if we draft Ty Simpson in the first round which rumors from the Senior Bowl indicate Steelers are high on him. I would prefer we don’t draft him and I certainly don’t want us giving up draft picks to move up for him.

They should have cut that bum Polamalu when he was a rookie and spared us all from all those horrible Super Bowl performances.....

Poor us. We had to put up with that bum and all his crazy plays for far too long!:roflmao:

Where do people come up with this stuff?

It's right. When you trade for another team's contract then only guaranteed future money is your responsibility. Previous SB is eaten by the other team. Ramsey is only owed salary if they keep him. Unfortunately the team restructured Jonnu Smith, so he has a dead cap hit if he's cut.

Not to actually play safety he hasn't. Yes to make him play nickel CB, and outside CB all the time yes he has lost a step, but to play pure Safety , he could play another 4 to 5 years. You do realize even after switching him to safety in week 9, or 10, he only played about 69% of it at actual safety. They still had him playing CB a lot of the times.

Safety play in the second half of the season was bad, and Ramsey doesn't get a pass because he played a role in it.
