I see him as a combination of Brees passing and Russ running. He had 860 yards rushing last year with 5.2 average. Bryce has 185 yards rushing in his final season at 3.8 average. That's a huge difference. It's not the same type of quarterback.

I like him well enough. I still think we need a great route runner who just gets open over a jump ball specialist, but I also think we need to be drafting multiple WR's in the first 3 rounds. Fields could be had in the third I think, at least depending on his 40 time.

They should draft two receivers since they have 12 picks, they can get a route runner type and a guy like Fields.

Imagine Fields and Metcalf as the Steelers starting receivers two big 6'4 physical guys.

Purdy is much taller at 6'1". He is also heavier and more durable. ( Pavia is 5'9" 1/2 tall with 29 " arms ) That is too short to be a pocket passer in general and with those extremely short arms, he is going to be very prone to getting his passes batted. A lot.

Look, he won't be able to see the middle of the field under center. Tua T was honest and said he can't see there either and is taller than Pavia so..

This makes Pavia a shotgun passer or outside the hash marks passer under center. He only has an average arm. Not Russall Wilson's arm for sure.

I would not draft him, unless it is is the 7th round.

The reference was to draft selection. Purdy was the last pick. I was the only person on this site to want Purdy that year because of his ability to win. The players he played against in college were tall too.

I am kinda the same on him. If he had a cannon, then maybe he'd be worth a day 3 pick. He's 3/4'' shorter than Russ, less athletic, and has a very meh arm. The whole offense has to be built around him to succeed. Lots of roll outs, designed runs, half field progressions. He just doesn't have the high end traits to be worth all the risk of building an offense around him. That is just my opinion. Plus, the whole Heisman debacle where he acted like a total @$$ isnt going to help his cause. Some teams will view that as a character red flag.

If he does succeed it will be on pure machismo, mental fortitude, and swagger. He's a poor man's Johnny Manziel. I know Manziel never had a real shot because he partied and didn't care, but that is the style of player he is... he's just immensely less talented than Johnny was.

Watching the senior bowl practices. There are some good OL and DL, but the below average QB class makes the offensive players less likely to shine. And the talent at the game compared to other years is a bit low.

Overall, this is a grade C draft class.

This is not to say there and some grade A prospects, but there are fewer of them than the 2025 and 2024 draft classes.

Running back, wide receiver, and offensive line lack stars and impact players. QB's are even lower. The strength? That would be DL, and LB

This is a safety the Steelers should have some interest in.

I would not put Bud Clark at Safety. I'd play him at nickel. He is too skinny for safety weighing 185 lbs.

Yeah, because players never bulk up once they get to the NFL.

If we could get a top 4 receiver in the first and Fields in the 3rd, now that's a receiver room. I just don't think Fields will make it to our 3rd.
