He's got a lot of catching up to do. I hope he can stay out there, too.

Not sure what people expect from this guy. He graded out poorly for the draft, and wasn't somebody who jumped out at the people who grade he draft for a living. I hope he can contribute, but he may be too late?

He absolutely graded out very well for the draft and would have been a 1st rounder if it wasn't for all the injuries. Coverage wise he was one of the best in the draft.

    Was that Yoda speak?

Injuries dropped him in the draft, he's got good qualities and Lake was impressed by him.

he could end up a real steal. he is one of the guys I got right on one of the original mocks I did for us. he's got some talent, speed and size. as BF stated carnell will get him right if he's healthy.

I hope he does make the team, and exceeds the expectations I heard on draft day! We need help, and frankly, how could he be any worse than W Gay? On draft day I remember the talking heads saying he was always hurt, and didn't move very well? Just repeating what I heard

That's true but some times you gotta go a little deeper and watch game film good and bad. This kid has skills on the field and has the size to battle TEs and support the run defense. IF and so far its a big if this kid stays healthy as someone has already Saud he is going to be a real steal.

He still has plenty of time to make the roster. He has 3 games to make an impact, I'm sure he will be fine.

I think you all will be very glad we have gay here this year.

he wasen't brought here to start. he was brought in as the nickel back and just for the reason he is starting now. injuries.

would you rather we start josh Victorian opposite ike for the opener? I actually like Victorian, but hey it's not even close.

You make a good point. I think the ideal is that Gay goes into the season as a known quantity but that Hawthorne, Brown, DVD or Victorian pushes him for the spot. There will be a dime guy who will have a shot at showing he can do better than Gay no matter how much he knows the D. I don't mind Gay as the .5 guy, but I don't want him starting.

People forget or ignore the fact that Gay had a good year in his last season under Lakes tutelage. I expect the same from him again until proven otherwise.

True, but our D was a tad younger and much, much better IMO. He is a moving target for the oppositions QB at this point.

We need him to catch up quick and to unseat William Gay,
never wanted him back in the first place. Gay, Spaeth, others
    You have to wonder?
