is now the head coach of the browns.

Upon hearing the news Jim Schwartz became upset and told the browns he's not coming back.

He's make a nice DC for us.

I'm sure he would have an ax to grind.

Jim Schwartz always always has a competitive defense.

I'm sure he's good enough to coach a 3-4, but he's a 4-3 wide 9 guy.... Not a great scheme fit for our personnel... Plus, the 49ers DC job is open and I would imagine he would want that one. Seamless scheme fit, should be a lot of interest from both sides.

He would need to be fired, otherwise the Steelers would have to give up picks as compensation. No thank you.

Good point. Plus the 4-3 stuff.

Give the brown's the rights to Tomlin for the rights to Schwartz.

    Is that true?

I'm looking at the stats for how his teams have done, when he is DC.
Seems like a few competitive defenses, and ordinary for most part.
At Cleveland, he had 2 seasons where they were top-4 based on yardage, but average (13th, 14th) based on points. And last year they were just bad (19th yards, 27th points).
Five years in Philadelphia: one good season (4th), others were average to below-average.
His first 8 seasons in TEN: last 2 were top 10, but other 6 were average to bad.
