one thing i am a little weary of is our front office's ability to do this. the steelers haven't had to pick one in 19 years. before that it was 15 years. this group never has picked one. how good are they at that process? does this group know how to do what the steelers have done in the past?

we as fans always talk about how the steelers have always done things. if these guys were not part of that how do they know? do they go back and read steelers history books? fans always want the steelers to adjust to the new NFL, then why would we keep after the same model now?

these are just questions i have been thinking about and how this might go down. any thoughts?

For longevity purposes, I suspect that the new head will be in his late 30's or early 40's with a Defensive mindset..

well i agree about that. this thread is mostly about who is picking this coach and how little experience they have in doing so.

Cleveland has plenty of experience there. What has that got them? If your GM and owner have plenty of experience, you're a dumpster fire.

or are they just unlike the steelers and don't wait longer than they should to do it. i think there is a fine line there.

looks like cleveland has brought in their former GM to help with the process.

interesting. guess they aren't as good at it as first thought. this is odd but it's the browns. maybe it shows the process is difficult for guys that haven't done it before. this was my concern.

well they fooled us all and went older and more established with McCarthy. i don't hate it but don't love it either. i'll wait to pass judgement when i see his DC hire.

Your assuming the Browns have a process.

Watching the NE game and how energetic, involved, and I must say sound decision making in an extreme environment Vrabel is does make me jealous. But that’s the type of coaching I prefer. Man he gets his players going. Didn’t do green font cuz frankly, it annoys me.
