Well yeah, towards the end of Rodgers' tenure in Greenbay their offense was pretty reckless ... depending on heroics from Rodgers that didn't really materialize.

I would hope that if Rodgers comes back:

A. They have a run heavy offense so Rodgers doesn't have to move around a lot and do too much.

B. We get the future QB on the roster, and Rodgers is just there to mentor them for a year....possibly having the future QB take over by mid-season.

If Rodgers comes back and thinks he is going to run around and sling it like the old days, that would be pretty bad. I would hope both him and Mike would know better than to let that happen.

Holding out hope the guy they really want is Scheelhaase but the Steelers think the jump to HC is too big. McCarthy agrees to hire him as OC for 3 years before a promo to HC. I could live with this light at the end of the tunnel.

You’ve outlined the narrow path to success with this hire.

My fear is that McCarthy lied his ass off in the interview and promised some version of your outline and then once on the job just reverts back to usual. That’s exactly what he did in Dallas.

Zero interest in this team until he’s gone. He can’t draft or coach players up any better than Tomlin. He can’t gameplan. Just another below average football mind.

Literally a waste of all our time. I’ll be back when he’s fired in 4-5 years for sucking.
