As we all know the Oline needs revamping. And to put Will Howard in QB position is a big mistake. He will get swamped, college football is just a tad slower than the NFL. Mason knows the system and maybe since MT is gone he may get some training and move into a starting QB position. We know he had good and bad stretches the latter the most but that was on MT and those hang on coaches. I think with the system changes coming he should be looked at very seriously.

Most popular person on the team from a fan perspective……backup QB

Mason is a career backup. I’d rather throw Howard in there and see what he can do.

I actually think the OLine is better than some give them credit for. Our biggest issue at this point is LT.

Did Mike Tomlin have anything to do with Mason Rudolph flaming out in Tennessee? If so, when did Mike Tomlin develop superpowers? Was he born with them? Gamma radiation accident? Did the Rooney's know?

    There are so many questions...

The three positions on the right side of the OL is set, Cook and Jones can battle for LT draft a road grader at LG.

That O-line that we were sure would get Rodgers killed by week 2 didn't do as bad as people thought they would.

That O-line had to try to protect a very IM-mobile QB.

Never really watched much of Rodgers in GB. In his prime was he mobile? I can't see him as a QB like Allen bulling his way through.

I don't really watch much NCAA but in the Championship game I was impressed how fast some of those players were. And then I remembered what a rookie said after his first few games in NFL. Something like, I thought I was super quick but I can see I'm just quick in the NFL.

Originally the Oline struggled but it got better as the season progressed. Iagree with Ben in still grabbing one or two in the draft but not projects. As sure bets as you can make em. We’ve the picks to have a reasonable chance at a great one or two. Try to do so with a safety as well. 12 picks, use em to build a team and a trench around the QB, whoever that may be.

I still think Cook would be better at RT, and Troy F. would be better at LT. These are the positions they played in college.

Hopefully a new O-Line coach will be able to tell if I am Right or Wrong next year. :)

I don't know... Cook had some help, but he faced Garrett, Hutchinson, Chubb, and Will Anderson Jr. That is a pretty loaded cast and he only gave up one sack. Fautanu really struggled against Danielle Hunter and didn't face the level of pass rusher that Cook did during the season. Fautanu might've just had a bad game, but he also might not be able to handle elite edge rushers, which makes him more suited for RT. Cook might be the more "natural" LT due to his better showings against good EDGE players. Just a thought.

Either way it was encouraging to see the tackle play progress as the season went on. Jones improved over the course of the year, but Cook might surpass him. Fautanu had a strong season, even if he got owned against Houston.
