He's not wrong though. He may not be HoF QB material, but he was way better than anything they had since, including Watson who was overrated when they pulled the trigger on him.

I'd still be bitter as well as they keep giving Stephanski credit for winning that play-off game and he wasn't even there. This guy was out there playing injured trying to save a season, when you should have shut him down, then you lay the blame at his feet for you sucking and go after a guy that hasn't played in 2 years. He might be an ass, but that's still a **** thing to do.

Well, he was responding to someone saying he failed in Cleveland. I think when you start listing 'bright spots' in Browns history in the last 40 years, it kinda starts with Baker Mayfield.
I don't know the whole story or why he seems to blame Stefansky for him leaving Cleveland. But, I think he should be grateful.

I don't think everybody understands the conversations and the relationships in that building. The head coach and the starting quarterback spend a ton of time talking about all kinds of things, and even if they aren't necessarily close, there has to be a certain measure of respect.

Stefanski not contacting Mayfield at any time after he was traded is bush league. Every player deserves that respect. Particularly the player that was your starting quarterback.

I know that Mayfield maybe should have said nothing, but I think differently about Stefanski after hearing that about him.

He sounds mature to me. The guy won a playoff game for the first time in like 40 years.

and Stefanski gets the credit for sitting on his couch.

There was only one Rooney to hire our last three coaches. And hes not around anymore. Thats definitely cause for concern. I dont know if Art II has it in him to make the right choice.

    Browns still browning it up;

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Browns' head coaching search hit a snag Tuesday night when Mike McDaniel, one of their most prominent candidates, pulled out of his scheduled interview less than 24 hours before it was set to take place. Even more telling? The former Dolphins head coach opted instead for an offensive coordinator position with the Los Angeles Chargers.

This sudden withdrawal speaks volumes about the current perception of the Browns’ head coaching position — and it’s not painting a flattering picture.

“The reality is, even if he had jobs he just likes better, it’s a problem for the Browns that they weren’t one of those jobs,” Browns beat reporter Ashley Bastock pointed out during Tuesday’s Orange and Brown Talk podcast. “And truthfully, it to me, all comes back to the quarterback when you’re talking about an offensive head coach.”

Im guessing he didnt get a lot of calls for a HC job, maybe even only the Browns so he might feel it’s better to build his name back up with a successful run with the Chargers and have better opportunities open up down the road.

And the Browns being the Browns have not interviewed anyone who fills the Rooney rule

    McDaniel would have been it

Why would a minority even accept an interview now just to be a box checked

I wonder if McDaniel realized this

We discussed this in earlier posts
Him and Flores both being fired
Too soon for either to be a HC
Plus both are much better as respected coordinators
    Than HCs

Is anyone thinking we are considering McCarthy and trying to keep Rodgers for one more more year? I hope not wonder why we would even be talking with McCarthy at this point. I would firm pass and wouldn't even interview him.
