Your short-term memory must be failing you.

I was responding to YOUR post. We don't HAVE to be ONLY responding to the opening post you know. You do know that, right?

I'll repost your direct post, in case your short-term memory is failing:

"What I was trying to point out was the misunderstanding that many people think that a Offense sided HC would rather have a run heavy QB, and would therefore be designing many Qb type runs, which I have always tried showing as false."

Hope that helps clear up your confusion.

    What??
What I have shown is the opposite. Does anyone read the whole thing, or do they just jump onto a moving train??
What I'm showing is that Offense mindset HCs seem to prefer not to have a running Qb, or to allow their Qbs to run as much.
Everything You are saying has already been stated, and covered.
We have a Qb in KC with Andy Reid who could run a lot but actually only runs about 20 more times a year than P. Manning.
We have a HC McVay who traded away a faster Qb for a Qb that runs less.
We Have a HC Shanahan who had a very athletic Qb they they traded multiple 1st round picks for, and He started, and kept not one , but two less athletic Qb over him that hardly run. These are the facts. Is any of this a lie??
What I am showing is what has happened, what some of You (I Love running Qbs people) are trying to say is what You want to think. Two totally different things. We can guess all day, I'm just showing what has actually happened.

Brian Billick was one of the greatest OC's ever with the Vikings during Moss's rookie year... missed FG by Gary Anderson (former Steelers kicker) kept Vikings from Super Bowl. Billick went on to be HC for 2000 Ravens which had one of the best DEFENSES of all time.

Ravens offense with Dilfer was nothing to write home about. They had Jamal Lewis and Shannon Sharpe... but that's about it.

Of course it could, but on the same hand could it mean a Offense HCs believe they can scheme, and design plays open, and don't want their Qbs straying too far from the structure of the play???
Example: It would be the exact same thing if a awesome Defense HC that could design an awesome defense against a team, but His best , most athletic player on Defense kept doing his own thing outside of the scheme.

Even the best OC's don't guarantee a great offense when they become a HC. Likewise with former DC's.... doesn't gaurantee great success on defense when they become HC. See Tomlin last 10 years.

McDonald and Vrabel were DCs... and they have their teams in conference championship games. Both teams have highly competent offenses.

I'm not so sure he will have a longer career, but we shall see. When Cams body went, it went fast. I believe Lamar Jackson has missed 12 games, and I'm not counting games he didn't play because they were already I'm the playoffs. I'm counting games he actually missed. Hell 4 were this year.
Although You could be correct, and he has a longer career, we shall see.

Hmmmm.....wonder if that has something to do with the yawning chasm between Randall Cunnigham and Trent Dilfer? Nah.

Dude. This is not the topic.
The topic is a majority of Offensive minded HCs today showing what they want out of a Qb, Compared to Defensive minded HCs.

I don't care about any of that. All I know is the last 7 Super Bowls were won by HCs with background in offense.

    Colin Cowherd is right! :roflmao:

You could very well be right. He's missed a lot of time and that takes a toll. Cam's body fell apart instantly, he was there and then he just wasn't. Cam took a bigger beating than Lamar though because he was a power runner and Lamar just gets hit less (though still hit more than a non-running QB would). Cam wasn't a good enough passer to be just a passer so he fell out of the league. Lamar probably isn't either. Without the fear of his legs, it would be hard to see him flourish. Mike Vick made it to 35 but he wasn't a starter in his final year (ironically with us) as he was really a only starter through age 33. I could see a similar path for Lamar.

He is a great player, but that is the risk you take with dual threat QB's. They just don't last as long. Maybe a genetic freak somewhere can keep their athleticism past their mid 30's but that would be a rare case. Gotta win with them when you have a chance. I think this is why Harbaugh was fired. They realize their window with Lamar is another 4-5 years tops.

Lol dont know what to tell you, I thought I was pretty clear in my response.

Why are you listing Mahomes and also what is with citing Manning so much :lolol:
Are you making the argument that Mahomes is a running QB? I hope not.

McVay traded for a better QB, a HOF level QB. You’re moving the goalposts by changing it to a faster QB. A sloth is faster than Stafford. Goff isnt remotely considered a running QB.

Lance???? LOL gee I don’t know STD, maybe because he sucks ass and a total bust could be why they moved on from him. Has nothing to do with mobility.

Like I said, give McVay Josh Allen and then get back to me.

There's tons of maybes, because neither of us know what any of those coaches think.
I haven't shared a single feeling at all.
I swear, your posts aren't always aligned with reality.

A lot of the top offensive minded coaches in the league have QB's who aren't naturally runners. That doesn't mean they wouldn't gladly take a guy like Allen or Jackson. If Stafford retires tomorrow, you don't think McVay would want Allen? You think he wouldn't want him running?

Look at Sean Payton. Offensive guru and he lets Nix run because Nix is good at it. He didn't have Brees run because that's not what he was good at.

I have no idea what McVay wants or doesn't want. What I can guarantee is the conclusions you're coming to aren't supported by the facts you're sharing on here. Anyone with half a brain can see that.

LoL. The whole what you just wrote about Mahomes, and Manning clearly shows You are just arguing to argue. You, Me , and everyone else knows that's not what I meant, and I was showing the exact opposite, but good try on trying to twist the narrative.
Actually to the people reading, there is no argument. I posted what is, what the stats show, and what has been, the rest is all You, but keep on keeping on. LoL
No matter what You write, what has been, has been, but do keep on. You are keeping me entertained.
Example: Me writing the facts today on the weather. ME: It's 52 here right now, and will drop to about 34 tonight.
You,and the we love Running Qb cronies: But what if the sun didn't come out, and was hidden by the clouds, and the wind started picking up.
    LoL
I give what has happened, and You guys give what could be, might be, and what ifs. LoL
    I'm truly entertained.

I believe your last sentence leaves you totally put of the conversation. LoL
Your try at sophistry doesn't change anything that I wrote. Good try. LoL.
    Please keep me entertained.
