They can't even fill the seats they have now, why go bigger?

All NFL teams need to adhere to new Turf requirements by the NFL next year I believe.

I've been to one game at Acrisure Stadium, and the acoustics were fine. I've also been to one game at the Bengals stadium (vs. the Steelers of course) and didn't notice any discernable difference between the two stadiums.

Steelers are blue collar, sub zero cold.Patriots,Packers,Bills,Steelers etc. We have to get back to toughness..Never heard Swann or Stallworth complained about the cold or snow.Notice no dome for Bills new stadium...Vikings went in doors were never the same

Jack Lambert once said the perfect temperature for playing a football game was 15 degrees

I’m not sure Pittsburgh has enough hotel space

That was a discussion a bunch of years ago

They even talked about bringing cruise ships in but they wouldn’t fit under the bridges

What sports/events are you talking about?

Pitt games, those High School games they have in late November, or some other kind of concerts/events? I am assuming it is not Steeler games as they are sold out every game, with the secondary market up charging a ton because of the demand for Steeler tickets.

What is with all the TURF talk, I am pretty sure the Steelers play on GRASS. Which can be a problem with Pitt also playing in the Stadium.

Rooney should give Pitt an ultimatum. If they want to play in Acrisure then fire Narducci. Guy is a joke of a coach

The stadium is becoming obsolete. The team had almonds of released about when lease is up and that they need a plan for about 5-7 years out to build a new one. Question is where. Who will pay. Won’t be as easy to build in same place like they did replacing three rivers. Three rivers was ten times louder and more intimidating

The stains are going inside. I think that hurts them in the North. Bigly.

I think “Turf” is being used generically for both turf and grass

But there are new NFL standards being implemented for both types

    https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-mandates-new-playing-surfaces-all-stadiums-2028-enhance-player-safety

I find this interesting that the NFL is now doing this. High schools have been doing this for over 20 years that I am aware of

I’ve built 2 high school artificial fields and a bunch of natural grass fields

Football was not meant to be played in the Mall. Period.

I like Acrisure. I can’t see the need for them to replace it.

It still is in great condition.

I’ve been to Veterans Stadium, it had the Astro-turf that was as hard as cement, now that was a crap hole that needed to be replaced.
