Why do I all of sudden have a feeling that I am not going to be happy with who the Steelers hire as HC.

Didnt he and Rodgers have a falling out? In fact I thought it was why Mike McCarthy was fired and one of the notches in Rodgers belt for getting coaches fired. Dont forget, he was fired in season.

Here's an article I found from 2022 when Rodgers was going to play against McCarthy. A good Q&A about their relationship. Maybe they were butting heads a bit at the end, but it sounds like they're good.

I was more than good with the Rogers thing this year, but I don't want the Steelers to become some weird Rogers - McCarthy reboot. Stick to the formula - young innovative coach.

I truly think it'll be a franchise-shattering decision to add someone like McCarthy. Do not run it back with an "old head." Get a young guy, bring in analytics and get this **** right.

Scheelhaase, Shula, Minter. All fine. Even Flores works if you get the coordinator positions right.

The majority of the best candidates this cycle are probably defensive guys.

The Steelers are interested in the wrong Kubiak so far, I think they're supposed to interview Klay not Klint.

I am sorry to inform you that is not how it works. Rooney and Khan's opinion matters most. Yes-- this is ture But when you hire a power position in a large company there are multiple people involved. The minority owners for one . The board. Rooney's son. Maybe 2 or so team leaders ( captains ) that will be here for a while. They will be asked for feedback.

When you hire a powerful man , or woman for an organization that is the process. . Feedback at least on the permleiny level matter.

The process might look something like this.

    • Round 1: Virtual or early in-person meetings to gauge fit, philosophy, vision.
    • Round 2/3: Deeper in-person interviews (often at team facilities or neutral sites), including meetings with ownership, players (sometimes), and staff. Candidates present game plans, staff ideas, and how they'd address team issues (e.g., quarterback development, culture).
    • Teams may request second/third interviews with frontrunners. Some candidates interview with multiple teams simultaneously.
    • Lot of people are involved, but in the end it is Rooney's call.

Who might some of these people be, you might wonder?

    No charge.

Rooney will have his son sit in on the interviews I would not be surprised if Weidel is allowed to sit in

That is all you got right

    Players will not be asked

The board/ minority owners will be notified of the decision

Obviously you have never been part of a process like this

    I have

But you do make up some funny bull****

It’s gotten to the point it’s hard to take any of your posts seriously because of all the stuff you make up that is untrue

I predict they hire some unknown special teams coordinator somewhere not currently on staff.

I have no clue just having some fun with it.

He said in his press conference the day or so after Tomlin's announcement that he didn't basically see any one of the current coaching staff members as potential candidates for the job.

[IMG] Okay pal. You are just a guy who doesn't know much about the process of hiring CEO's and XO's.

Walking back your comments of only Art Rooney and Khan won't add to your credibility. But agreeing to my feedback can help you a little.

A player like TJ Watt may be asked for his input quickly. Say 30 seconds on whether he thinks so and so will make a good coach and fit with the culture in Pittsburgh.

Instead of your usual eye rolls on posts by others and jabs to become a donator, why do you place me and a few other posters on ignore. No names mentioned. Maybe you like acting the way you do? By chance do you live in Ohio?

Now attend to your dogs that are barking at you.

When Vrabel was available the Patriots hired him even though he was a retread defensive minded coach. I know we are still early in the search for a new HC, but I would caution against becoming closed minded to all available possibilities.

Because I enjoy whacking trolls and getting under the skin of people who are insecure or those who post lies/fake/ false/ bull**** information

    And obviously it’s working

I will admit a few wimps have put me on ignore but that is just because they got tired of being embarrassed

There is not a single reputable poster where there is a conflict with me

    Have a nice day

And to help you with your consistently poor use of the English language it’s “why don't…”
