Oh so both parties need to agree then? Well that explains why the FBI visited me about my letters to Sydney Sweeney.

Sounds like the reason he left is that he wants to take time off.

I think that if anyone said that Cowher wasn't a good coach because he was never hired again would be making a very silly argument.

I have a friend who is a little odd and a conspiracy theorist

Many years ago a passenger plane went down after leaving NY

My friend searched the internet heavily looking for any conspiracy related to it

One morning there was a knock at his front door

Just in case you think they aren’t watching

I believe Tomlin will be back coaching within 3 years. He will take an analyst job for 2 years and will have access to every NFL team for preparation and then will accept the job of his choosing.

He has no interest in coaching again, unless an offer comes he cannot refuse. Steelers should actually release him from the contract. It's an @ss move if they hold that contract to prevent him from interviewing and expect compensation.

Why? Steelers are paying him through 2027. It's not like he's unemployed with no income.

Tomlin stepped down I don't think he will continue to get paid by the Steelers.

Then why are the Broncos still paying Russell Wilson?

Aren't coaches contracts valid like players' contracts?

It seems to me if Tomlin is truly a Hall of Fame caliber coach, a lot of teams would be making lucrative offers, to include paying off the Steelers remaining compensation, if necessary. Enough to convince him to keep coaching rather than hit the beach or the broadcasting booth. In case you haven't noticed, there's a lot of money rolling around in the NFL. It's odd that Tomlin walks away from a team that many claimed he was rebuilding. He leaves the team in a state of disarray. A team that hasn't won a playoff game for nine years. I don't think there is any team that would hire him, to be honest. That's why he's avoiding the embarrassment of not getting hired by not putting himself on the market as a coach, IMO.

This reminds me of a certain Cannibal Corpse song, but I won’t elaborate.

Just before talking about Tomlin saying this was his last year, he said that he thought Tomlin was done.

Reminds me of the Yogi Berra quote I used a while back: "If folks don't want to come out to the ballpark, we can't stop them!" :lolol:
