This shouldn't shock anyone in all honestly. I have said this since the beginning of the 2025 College Football Season for not just Moore but also Leavitt and Sellers. Going to the NFL anymore isn't a sure fire guarantee for many of these College QBs.

The whole aspect of him potentially being Drew Allar doesn't really line up either. Dante still needs to grow as a passer whereas Drew Allar had years to prove himself. It also helps that Dan Lanning is a superior coach to James Franklin.

Overall, I am happy personally for Dante. I wish him all the best in his future endeavors. As for how this affects Pittsburgh?! Kiss Ty Simpson goodbye. This could likely put other positions well into the spotlight as a result. Which position remains to be the one remains to be seen but Wide Receiver seems to be the odds on favorite though I would still give Roman Wilson one more year with a different voice along with a different QB.

Personally?! IOL, CB, Peter Woods or Sonny Styles are my preferred choices. If it is WR I want, Carnell Tate or Makai Lemon would do.

With these college quarterbacks making money now, I'm hoping many will stay in college longer for better college games and to be more prepared for the pros. I haven't seen Woods play but I want defensive tackle or receiver in round 1. I would even consider a trade down to later in the first and pick up another 2nd. If that is possible. That would be a 1, two 2's and three 3's. That's a nice haul. We need it.

Woods would be a great pick. Especially with his position versatility. Guys a stud, but I just can't see him making it to us. You never know I guess.

This is huge news. Next year could become legendary now. With all these guys not feeling forced to leave school early because of the money now, hopefully we'll see a lower bust rate and overall better product on the field.

Watching him against Indiana convinced me that he’s not ready to make the jump from college to an NFL dumpster fire situation. Good call. He could still end up with a crappy situation a year from now, but do so with another year of experience and maturation. Or he could get lucky and land with a good franchise drafting high after a reset year.

    Nor do I.

He is my number two ranked player. He is a quasi generational player at IDL. Only reason that he isn't a full one is that his traits are very good but not great. IDL is both a tools and traits position.

Peter Woods isn't lacking in the tools. Traits though?! Wish there was more.

Funny that was the same thing we heard all last year; was how great the 2026 QBs in the draft were going to be.

Now, the page has turned, and we are hearing the 2026 is a down year, and how great 2027 is going to be.

Good move by him. He had a terrible last game and I think another year and season should do him well.

Good news for us, we will likely need a QB, thats two big names we can target, Donte and Manning if they kill it next season.

Just hope they don't reach this year because of the new regime.

This is what Peyton Manning did in 1997!

Sure there is. They could try to trade up for Simpson or take Beck at 21. Which would be a reach for me.

I don't hate Beck but in the 1st rd? No thanks. He's risky enough as is.

No QB worth the reach this year. None.

Maybe a chance on Allar with on of thirds.

Id just as soon roll with Howard, to be honest.

Agreed. I think we are in the middle of a total reset on how quarterbacks are going to be judged regarding entering the draft. As many of us has said, college QB money has changed everything. These guys can buy mom and dad a house, buy a sibling a car, pay off family debt, and even buy a nice injury insurance policy. As well as all their own toys. Why come out when you can stay in school, develop another year and hopefully have a longer pro career. This NFL has destroyed many QB's who came out early.

There’s Sayin and others too. Leavitt has a chance to shoot up to a first round grade at LSU with Kiffin. Sorsby at TTU has a chance to boost too. Sellers, Lagway, and Reed all have a shot to make noise too… I know we said the class should be good for 2026 and it wasn’t, but 2027 has a lot more high end options than we thought the year before.
