I have to imagine knowing you wont be working for an organization that fires coaches every 2 years is very appealing.

You’re going to get the time to build a winning roster and culture. The only other club to show that kind of stability is the Ravens which is probably the only job opening out there more attractive right now.

I mentioned the QB whom by the way elevated his game a lot because of the HC.

Dont be salty because you made a bad point.

Im not salty at all. It’s just quite simple they’re not the same. You also have to remember the bears have won exactly one playoff game. Theres a good chance they’re sitting at home by this time next week. There’’s also a good chance they’re right back to a sub .500 team next season. Its not like we dont see that happen every single year.

We are so ****ed if it’s him. He’s as stubborn as Mike Tomlin if not worse. I don’t think it will be him though in the end. Would love him for Defensive coordinator though.

what has given you the impression they care about winning a SB since Shula left? How many playoff wins have they had since he left?

all this time people pointed out Tomlin not having a coaching tree and come to find out you don’t want the next Hc to have one either.

    j/k

I don’t think he was delusional about anything. This is what Rooney wanted from Tomlin.

Knowing how the Steelers operate, the least likely candidate is the one who will get the job.
Cowher and Tomlin were almost complete unknowns to every fan.

Noll was not a household name either.

Nope. His defense has been excellent. Better than Shulas.

Getting Shula would be pretty cool how things work in a full circle since Chuck Noll used to be an assistant to Chris Shula's grandfather.

You do believe anything you read

For example Harbaugh stuff was coming out before he even interviewed with a single team

Interviewing for coordinator positions as well

    Imagine:

    Scheelhaas as OC
    Minter or Weaver as DC
    Flores as HC

Minter wouldn't make a lateral move to DC for another team; Flores will call the defensive plays as HC.

One of the things that concerns me is that the HC search is being conducted by Rooney and Khan. Can't say I have a lot of confidence in either one of those guy's decision making capabilities.

There's nobody else to do it. I guess what I'm saying is that my expectations aren't super high. An unfortunate side effect of having mediocre Mike at the helm for way too long.

it's early, but the Steelers are absolutely approaching this correctly. I don't LOVE Flores without really strong coordinators, but Scheelhaas, Shula, Minter or Weaver would all be terrific hires
