To Marcus Freeman...

If the Steelers do offer you the head coaching job and you turn it down.....you will never land a better job in the NFL. You have nowhere to go but down at that point. The Steeler head coaching job is arguablly the best position to have in all of professional sports. The proof is in how ownership stands by their hires. Even the great Nick Saban left college for the lowly Miami Dolphins and he had already won a college national championship. If the Steelers offer you the head coaching job and you havent even won a Natty in college and you turn it down......what a horrible move on your part.

 

And just so posters understand what I'm talking about....Saban won a Natty and went to lowly Miami...Urban Meyer won Natty's and went to lowly Jacksonville...Pete Carroll won Natty's and went to lowly Seattle...Jim Harbaugh won a Natty and went to lowly San Diego....and Marcus Freeman hasnt won a thing and if offered the most prestige job in the NFL and turns it down....what a fool. All these college coaches that have won way more than him and jumped at the chance to even be considered for an NFL job.....I just dont see how Freeman could turn down the opportunity of a lifetime. And there is no doubt the Steelers are very interested in him....to many sources are reporting it.

man, i would have loved to have this guy as the new Steeler head coach.....even though my Notre Dame would have to find another great coach....Im a Steeler and Notre Dame fan and would love for the Steelers to hire this guy.

I agree.

Notre Dame only wants to be part of a conference when they get all the benefits with none of the downsides.

Listening to Irish fans cry about the schedule of others when they are the school that is unwilling to play in a championship game in a weak conference against another good school is beyond nauseating.

 

why? That’s usually all I do. This team makes me drink. lol.
