When Brian Flores is announced as our new HC who should our offensive and defensive coordinators be?

Agreed...but also feels like rinse and repeat (not a race thing). No desire for Flores.

 

I would take Flores if he could find a good OC.

Yes however there were some other things going on as well. I think he had gotten his defenses up due to a couple of interviews he had (Denver they were hungover when meeting with him) and that might have made him give attitude to ppl. There was talk about friction between Minkah and Flores because he was playing Minkah all over the field and not allowing him to play his natural position. If I remember correctly Miami wasn't happy with his record at the same time he was accusing the league of discrimination

 

Sounds like the guy to hire

 

I can't fault Flores for getting upset. You only get so many legit shots at a HC job. So if a team requests an interview with you and you fly out to meet with them and Elway and crew arrive hungover or still drunk while they stumble through you interview I'd sue as well. Personally I think he should just focus on being a coordinator and leave it at that. There is way less stress that way.

 

A lot more money to be a HC

Plus he may have a chip on his shoulder.

 

Just about every coordinator wants to be a HC.

 

Do we really want to hire a guy that butts head with management?

 

I think he will interview well.

 

I'm not advocating for him, but I mentioned in another post that a lot of that started because management took Tua, and supposedly, Flores did not want him. A lot of talking heads down here are even saying now Flores was right about Tua.

The Dolphins have been a mess overall since they 'retired' Shula. It's gotten worse since Ross bought the team.

 

They may initially but quite a few realize that they are fine being a coordinator after they lose that HC job.
