They can still void his contract for what he did do to stipulations in the deal, correct? Anyone know where I can find that info?

NFL salary info online, the legit kind, is harder to find than Bigfoot. Thanks in advance.

    1. Our problem is not having a #2 and #3.
    2. DK contract is insane and good numbers are not there to support his contract.

So steelers don't want to trade and no team would want to trade for him.

Steelers need to take a WR in round 1. Or trade back and take two with their first 3 picks.

Unfortunately steelers came out saying they will not void it. So that makes it clear to me they don't care about his numbers he put up.

Hopefully steelers know they need to take a WR with the #1 pick or trade back and take two with their first 3 picks.

They need a secondary player that can be a game changer. Not a fan of picking receivers in the first round. Especially in today’s NFL. They are long overdue there from the draft.

If the Steelers can unload his cap#, it would open a ton of cap space to 1 ) sign our free agents for 1-3 years and 2 ) sign other team free agents. I wish we could trade him for those reasons. I shake hands on the deal for a team's 3rd round pick.

DK's is overrated as a player and has no focus. He might not recover for his fisting of a fan. This man has issues outside the lines

We're stuck with him. And the Steelers are fine with it.

How do you make that determination?

We are experiencing a regime change, and Metcalf is grossly under performing and is overpaid big time on the salary cap.

We may be stuck with this bad investment due to the scarcity of talent on the Steelers at Wide Receiver and the dead money amount if he is cut.

Which is why I say trade him for something, getting an extra 3rd round pick, AND having that team pay for his cap#.

Yes , he had an average year but with that salary it was below average ,and then the last 4 weeks of the season happened which made it miserable.
I would still give him another season to see if he can turn things around with a better OC this season , hopefully.
Like others have said, we still need 2 more good WR's besides him.

If I am trading anyone its TJ Watt.
Trade when the value is high, not low.

Better to be stuck with DK for a while than with a mega-contract QB that isn't performing. DK has been a big disappointment but I think we can still get value from him on the team. We need someone who can throw to him and we need more weapons to take some of the coverage off DK. Those are 2 big priorities ahead of getting rid of DK IMO.

I think trading DK would be a mistake.

Just like trading Pickens was a mistake.

We need to go into a season with more than one legit NFL receiver.

Getting rid of the only legit NFL receiver we have is counter productive.

Cap wise, it's also painful because there is still $24MM of prorated cap hit for his signing bonus.

Basically, it's not good to trade away a player right after he signs a big contract.

And it's even worse in this case because we don't have another actual NFL caliber WR on the roster.

He had a disappointing year, but he's still clearly the best (only) WR on the team. And there's no one else on the roster who's a WR1 or WR2. Wilson can't even get a helmet on a team without any WRs, so it's unlikely he'll end up contributing at a meaningful level.

We need to add NFL WRs. Not subtract them.

This is the same kind of thinking that had us trade away Pickens for little return and go into a 2nd year in a row with only one NFL WR.

Except it would be worse because the cap consequences are not great.

Yeah, trades just aren't cost effective. Steelers need to stick to the draft.

If you draft WR and hit on him, the contract sort of evens itself out if look at it from the perspective of splitting it between the two.

They gave up a second-round pick for the lesser player while only getting a three and an exchange of day-three picks for the better one. Yeah, that was incredibly stupid.

Do we have to unload him to clear the cap? What is the problem?

Steelers already said they're not going to change DK contract. So they're not getting rid of him.

@steelersrule6@steelersrule6 backed it up with links to me from top reporters.

Glazer reported they won't invalidate the guarantees, but that is not a done deal. They can still change their mind. The change in head coach could be a factor there, too.

Not as much as we would get for trading Tomlin if he comes back to coach again in 2027 (we still have rights if he comes back before then).
