Vance Joseph, Klint Kubiak and a long list of other candidates are out there. I like the idea of getting an offensive mind this time.

Say what you want but I'm building my list based based on certain racial criteria.

Without doing too much research, I've heard a lot of buzz about Nathan Scheelhaase, passing game specialist for the Los Angeles Rams. Also, Ejiro Evero, the DC from Carolina. Both younger as well.

Don't think we'd go with a retread like McDaniel or Glenn if he got fired.

Kline Kubiak would be at the top of my list personally. Need an Offensive Minded Coach for a truly new Era in the Steel City. No more Defensive Minded ones.

This isn't the 70s to 2000s where defense was king. This is now an Offensive Driven League. The Rooney's need to get with the times.

It will be interesting to see who Kahn/Rooney decide to hire. One thing we know is certain the usual suspects will be whining no matter who it may be.

Yeah, Kubiak immediately came to mind. I'll admit I haven't been paying much attention to the interviews going on. I certainly will now.

I can only hope that the Steelers have been doing their due diligence in
Looking for their new Head Coach. A leader of men would be high on the list.

The only real option in my mind is Kubiak.

Gruden is a ****ing knob. Freeman is mentally weak. He should stay with the crybabies at Notre Dame.

Would look bad if the organization that pushed for the rule doesn`t observe it.

I expect a young Mike Tomlin type choice, only better hopefully.

Flores for defensive coordinator would be huge. Make him the highest paid coordinator in NFL history and let him do his thing. No team will likely let him be a head coach again after what he did in Miami, justified or not. The likely part would be smoother out of Pittsburgh.

If the optics are bad?! So be it. AR II and the Rooneys need to get with the times.

Rooney Rule or otherwise, this team needs an Offensive Minded Voice. If the old guard like TJ Watt, Cam Heyward and others complain?! Jettison their asses.

    Under 40.
    Relatively an unknown.
    Defensive minded.
    No HC experience.

For me...ideal would be Kubiak as HC and bring Flores in, to your point, highest paid DC. But I don't have a lot of faith in this particular Rooney.
