We need to match the value of the round with need.

I say draft Simpson in round one, or Mateer in round two. Or sign a free agent veteran free agent QB like Daniel Jones before the draft. OR we roll for 2026 with Will Howard. That will take some stones. Once the above path is decided we can talk about the draft in detail.

We need QB, WR, G, ILB, and DB.

Me, I am for getting value. Perhaps we use two of our three third round picks on WR's, and use the other picks ( 1,2,3 ) on the above positions?

I consider Head coach, OC, and DC as MUST do a month before the draft. Make some phone calls now. If the plan is to keep the tree amigos in charge... man. It will be hard to be a steer fans watching Tomlin go for the NFL record of head coaches not winning a playoff game for ten years.

I just posted for others to come up with their draft plan, they will atleast know what selections we currently have. I tend to agree with coaching changes but The Steelers/Rooneys
have a business plan and don't too often stray to far from this plan. I am sure before the April draft in PGH.these parameters maybe clearer?

Now that there is complete overhaul with the coaching staff, these needs may change drastically. With the likely departure of some of our older vets (for cap space) and some restructuring, we could go into FA with like $100 million to spend. That would be pretty sweet. The coaching schemes and FA spending will differ greatly depending on our coaching hires, and money spent will change our draft needs by the time April comes around. We also have draft capital to trade if we wanted to as well...

At this point we will need to figure out the draft and then what roster decisions we make before the FA period opens up before we determine our actual draft needs. I have a feeling this roster will look a good bit different come April than it does right now.
