Tomlin/Rodgers on Muth

When asked why Muth doesn't seem to get targeted until it's too late in the 4th quarter..... Tomlin gave a non-answer and Rodgers said "I don't have an answer for that". I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but something is definitely up with that.

 

Its called the Jonnu Smith effect. Plays like hot garbage. Should have never signed him.

 

Arthur Smith had more say than anyone it seems.
He can leave and take J Smith and his crap offense with him.

 

I think it is two fold…Muth is in Rodgers’ doghouse for wrong routes, and Arthur Smith likes Jonu..

They only throw to him in very specific looks.

If Ben had Muth during his prime he would’ve made him a hall of famer.

It makes no sense, I feel bad for him…just trade him and let him shine somewhere else.

And you can’t shape your offense around Washington…once he is hurt the entire offense is blown up. He also fell in the draft because he has a bad knee, some people said Washington won’t have a long NFL career because of it.

Whatever it is, I hope the truth comes out. “I don’t know,” isn’t good enough anymore.

 

Half their posts game is about lack of Muth. This is damning…someone needs to be fired:

There haven't been any reports of Muth running wrong routes, it seemed to be more Arthur Smith would have Jonnu playing more snaps in his TE packages for some reason. And the emergence of Washington he was getting the most snaps of all the TEs.

 

If Smith stays as our OC, we have to avoid acquiring anyone who's played with him in the past.

He loves playing guys who are significantly worst than other options if they have history with him. Smith this year. Patterson last year.

 

It's appalling--they said they said a defensive player (unnamed) brought up Muth not being used and was like WTF?. I agree with DK Sports---they favor Jonnu for some unstated reason and perhaps Pat should hit the road and go somewhere where he could be used. Just trading for Jonnu was a sign that they don't like/trust Pat for some reason---so maybe Rooney hates him for some reason (?). Not that he's Gronk, but definitely better than anything else we've seen in the passing game recently. Jeez. My understanding was that Jonnu could be like a WR and that he was the reason we didn't need to get a real WR2. But they don't use him like that, so total disaster.
