We got Harbaugh fired, we stuffed Jackson again...

But it's time, let's accept reality, blow it up, Tomlin Rodgers and all and move on.

We were comprehensivley beaten by a better team, who were able to carry an awful QB, who was absolutely dazzled by the bright lights.

I'll admit I didn't want Rodgers, but we would not have gotten this far without him, Metcalf has been the worst FA signing I can remember.

But all in all we're just not close to good enough as we stand.

I'll state again, i've enjoyed this season, it's been a ride.

If I actually thought, we were good enough to run it back one last time I go with it, but we're not.

Rodgers didn’t lose this game the O-line did. Aging guys need to leave

I'm not saying he did, but the team just isn't good enough.

Don't feel bad. You are not the only fan to fall into the proverbial mediocrity trap.

Not sure what the game plan was today, but the Steelers abandoned the running game and we abandoned it early. It’s not as if we were out of it. The score was 7-6 until early in the fourth.

It's a trap we have no control over. Only Rooney has the key and it's firmly implanted up his ass

That is very funny, very sad and very true at the same time. I agree.

I think I said the same thing before the season started. I knew there would be a lot of struggles, I just wanted to enjoy the ride…

I guess I got my hopes up these past few weeks. I kept waiting for the offense to break out all year, but it never really did.

I didn’t think the offense would be a juggernaut, but I thought we would be able to throw a few more deep balls this year….just never materialized.

The short quick passes doesn’t really work long term.

This will likely make you feel worse, but the Steelers did not get Metcalf in free agency. Steelers gave up their 2nd round pick this last draft for him, and then proceeded to add 4 more years to his existing contract with $132 million in new money, which averages to $33M a year.

He was likely never going to play at a level that justified that, but so far he is not even anywhere close to that worth after 1 season here.

It's Mike Tomlin, there IS no game plan, ever.

We have an awful head coach, an awful offensive coordinator and an awful defensives coordinator. I hope NONE of them are back next year. I'd rather let 17 random fans be head coach for a week next year than keep this festering, poo-infeseted, maggot-laced garbage of a product.

Coach,GM,and Qb. A reboot brooms them all.

The three men are a bad mix of square pegs trying to mold a team or round holes.

Your definition of fun is different than mine. I'm glad the shıtshow has ended for awhile because I need a mental break from the steelers. See you guys around.

I wouldn't be opposed to it.

But don't get too invested in this idea.

It's the opposite of the business model of this team.

We can definately find some joy in THAT! Though, the RATS might do what we've been screaming to do, and hire a competent coaching staff. Not sure that's in our best interest!

    Agreed!

Also Agreed. But in addition, we've been COMPREHENSIVELY beaten by a better team for the past SEVEN YEARS! UNACCEPTABLE.

I'm agreeing with you a LOT! Rodgers has been the best QB we've had since Ben. But we couldn't protect him when it mattered and this WR corps has been a joke. Metcalf, while an amazing athlete, is a bigger head case than Pickens, with intermittent hands of stone. It's bizarre what we traded for here.

What's the point of signing Rodgers if we can't protect him and don't give him proper weapons?

I enjoyed MOMENTS of this season. But I can't really say the season as a whole. The highlights for me were:
    - Going to Ireland and watching them beat the Vikings live!
    - Beating the Patriots and forcing them into a million turnovers
    - Beating the Colts when no one thought we could
    - Sweeping the RATS, knocking them out of the playoffs and getting Hairball fired.

But otherwise, it's been a mixed bag with little overall improvement as the season went on and a season ending with the same disappointing, embarrassing performance in the wild card round, this time at home, on Monday Night.
