I just wanted to thank all you guys on this message board. I never was able to last long, if at all, on other message boards for many reasons but, mostly, because they sucked. I couldn't get on the infamous Steelers site message board, atleast, not to post. TTF, I've said it before but I will say it again, "Great job with this site, you are the man!". Being here in Iowa I can get starved for Steeler info and will go nuts trying to find even a tid bit of information. Heck, I've been know to sneak into the bathroom with a National Inquierer article about a Steeler's player. I only look at it for the articles, though! You guys feed me a ton of information here and, often, make me feel like I'm a native of Pit and part of the action. The threads and post that are created on here are very insightful and entertaining. Anyhow, what I really want to say is that I love you guys and gals...in a clearly platonic way, of course! THANKS!

This is the first Steeler Board I have been on that when we don't agree we just state that and move on without name calling.

Totally agree I can't stand that whole I don't agree with you so you're stupid stuff. We aren't always going to agree but we are all part of steeler nation. Also Jim I'm glad you are here and have stuck it out you are a valuable member of our team.

Speaking of the Enquirer. I named the Navy Times the Navy Enquirer. The first ever headline I saw in the Navy Times was "10 year retirement, just around the corner"
I saw that headline in August 1966. Navy/Marines still do not have a 10 year retirement plan. And the bad part is I did 30 years before I figured it out! Who woulda thunk it?
BTW there is no 10 year military retirement in any service.
Also I would do it all again.

I agree with you, Jim. This is a great board with intelligent and passionate Steeler fans. I've had some major disagreements and some energetic debates with a few of my MB compatriots, but they are, for the most part, civil and respectable, just honest disagreements mostly. Hey, getting on here and venting with you guys makes me easier to get along with which my wife appreciates.

 

My wife hates this site. LOL.
