Second chances in life are fleeting. Free tickets to a playoff game? Get your booty over there. I still regret not heading over to the Rose Bowl (25 miles away from my home at the time) for the Steelers/Rams SB game in 1980. No free tickets but they were still reasonably priced back then never realizing how the prices would escalate over time and the team would struggle for the foreseeable future. I did go see them practice for that SB at a local college field where Rocky Bleier randomly came over and shook my hand as they headed off the practice field. So some good came of it.

At some point you need to make the pilgrimage. The fact that you are getting free tickets is awesome. You may have a problem booking a hotel if you plan on an extended visit, but if you have never been in the stadium, it is an amazing experience to see a big game and feel the energy in the stadium.

You brought up a suppressed memory

The company I worked for at the time made a lot of money and we traveled excessively

One of the percs was with the exception of clothing for example nothing we paid for came out of our pocket pretty much no questions asked

    Meals nice hotels game tickets

My next scheduled assignment was LA overlapping the game

    I took the new job

I went to every AFCCG from 1996 - 2010 and then the Super Bowl vs AZ. SB doesn’t come close to those home playoff games, and I too am 500 miles away. Do it. Get a hotel downtown so you can walk to and from the game, as it adds to the experience (though this game is a bit late)

    Yes

I went to every AFCCG from 1933 to 2025

Nothing beats a home playoff game

Especially not a SB which are actually fairly boring fan wise

I have heated gloved that I use for riding my motorcycle in cold weather. They are worth their weight in gold.

The box or the instructions should give an estimate as to how long the charge will last on each heat setting. Make sure you charge the batteries and test them as soon as you get them, connect the batteries to the cable and pack the batteries in the zippered pockets and close them up. Make sure everything is working and get a feel for how hot each setting is and how long they last on the highest setting. This will help you judge what the best setting will be to get you through tailgating to walking back to your car.

I don't know how long the heating time is rated to last. It's usually depends on what setting they are on. You most likely won't need the warmest setting, and just to be sure the power lasts a long time, I wouldn't turn the power on until you need it. The gloves are fairly warm even when they aren't powered. If you plan on tailgating, feel out the temperature and leave the power off until you start feeling your hands starting to get cold. The heat comes on quickly and that way you should have many hours of battery power to get you through the entire game.

Good luck and enjoy the game!

Let me know how the gloves work
    Out

I have a vest and socks and both worked well on the 16 degree game

Could you swing a golf club with them on? I use those hand warmers you have to stick in glove.

The one's he shows here seem a little bulky like the gloves I have. They do make thinner, more flexible gloves that you may be able to use. The have a much smaller profile and would probably be able to be good enough to play. The one thing to concern yourself with are the batteries. They may make a golf swing feel a little bit clunky because of the weight. If you love playing in cold weather, it would probably be worth your while to look for something with a little more dexterity.
