Boz extra point, tipped?

Boz has had a few knuckleball kicks this year (not talking about kickoffs). I put it down to Waitmann's holds introducing (more) aerodynamic asymmetry re: the laces.

 

I’m worried he got the yips again. Didn’t this happen to him years ago? Mental side is so big for kickers.

 

so which steeler whiffed on their block? Anyone have a video of the view from behind Boswell?

I don't think it was tipped. He has missed a couple of kicks he usually makes lately. He has had rough patches before, though they are usually connected to some sort of injury.

 

The sideline shot looks like it got shot, had a stray F5 tornado in the stadium, hit a Randy Johnson terrified pigeon or Tom Brady paid the ball to suddenly deflate. But absolutely the weirdest sudden curve I've ever seen.

He didn't react like it was tipped / blocked...but I can't tell.

 

for as good as the special teams have been, this was not their best game for sure. the long kick return at the end. short punt. blocked or missed extra point. better clean it up bubble gum boy.

 

The NFL has officially ruled it a block, so that does make me feel better about Boz.

 

Same here. I hadn't gotten around to looking at it more closely.

 

He’s missed a few recently though that what worries me.

 

That was a classic slice to my eyes.

I was going to post something similar. Is this the beginning of something for Boz?

 

It looked like a slice to me but they are crediting a tip apparently. Regardless need Boz to get right if he starts going south we are sunk.

 

Agree it's hard to tell.

But I don't think so.

1) It starts to move after it gets past the diving player who would have tipped it.
2) Rotation of the ball (end over end) doesn't seem to change in the slow-mo video.
3) The guy who celebrates (39) isn't the guy who would have made the tip here IMO. I think he celebrates because he turns around and sees it miss. The guy who would have had to tip it (the edge player) doesn't react like he got a hand on it.

 

He may be worried about off the field issues as well I mean his head coach just implicated him as a serial killer two months ago. I'm sure the Burgh's finest are looking into him lol

 

Some are saying the missed extra point was actually a blessing.

If the Ravens needed a TD, they may have gotten it.
