I'm so glad Rodgers burned those timeouts. I'm calling it the Lucky Helmet.

Because we KNOW Tomlin would have iced Loop on the kick, watched it miss and the ensuing rekick would have been gold.

I think just about every HC would've tried to ice the kicker though.

I’m just glad there wasn’t a flag on skorownek jumping over the center. Many flags have been thrown for that this year. Another kick 5 yards closer and we would all be looking for something else to watch Monday Night.

All HCs if they have a time out try to Ice the Kicker. Put it this way. I haven't seen one this year that hasn't.

I didn’t take it as a dig at Tomlin, just that it would have been bad in general had he iced him.

I've heard it said many times that icing the kicker only gives him a practice kick.

The conditions for kicking field goals must have been terrible near the end of the game

cold, guys have been on the field for hours, which makes the cold worse, which also effects the feel of the ball, then the pressure for the rook,

I can't understand why they didn't hand it off to Henry to make it an easier FG attempt for Loop? I mean they still had 2 time outs left. Even if Henry had only gained 2-3 yards it would've been a 37 yard attempt instead of 44 yards. Jackson lost 3 or 4 yards when he centered the ball on the hashmark.

I saw my first Steelers game in '75. Not 144 but old enough. There are perks to that like having seen the good ol' days of Steelers football.

That was back when you had to hand write a post using parchment and an ink well/ink pen and send your post to the message board by carrier pigeon. Those were some good message board days.

Probably one of the reasons he is the ex coach.

He missed that kick by a mile though, so other then maybe a mental edge those extra yards probably wouldnt have helped but I agree that he should have tried to pick up more yards.

I wasn't, I was just stating that was part of the game. That they all do. I prefer that they don't always do it, and then it leaves the Kicker wonder if it will be this time, but you know media , and the fans. If You had a time out to ice the Kicker, and you didn't use it at the end of the game trying to, they would be like.......Who does he think he is not trying to ice the Kicker, what's he saving the timeouts for???

And yet all HCs do it if they have the timeouts. Just looking at this year, I haven't watched one game they haven't.
