I would say by round two, if we had a pick in that round.

We have 1 second and most likely 3 thirds (possibly 4 if Fields gets his butt back on the field). Pretty sure there will be an o line in there somewhere.

I'd say Round Two for certain.

This upcoming OT Class is very top heavy. Spencer Fano, Francis Mauigoa, Caleb Lomu, Blake Miller, Isaiah World and Kadyn Proctor. Of those six, three will be Top 15; Fano, Mauigoa and Lomu. Blake will shock a lot of people though not me as he is more sound and stout than he is given credit for, World's Potential is unreal as is his talent but he will need time and Proctors ceiling surpasses any other OT in the class and arguably any other Player as well; Nyck Harbor, LaNorris Sellers, Anthony Hill Jr. and even the freakshow in Peter Woods. Thing is about Proctor is his bust potential is by far the highest of any player as well.

After these six?! Xavier Chaplin, Drew Shelton, Austin Barber, Caleb Tierman and Trevor Goosby would be Tier Two. Of these two I want for Pittsburgh?! Xavier Chaplin. Plays to the whistle and is far better in his leverage than others give him credit for.

Wild card?! Gennings Dunker from Iowa. Would like to know what his arm length is given it does seem moderate on tape. His ability in the run game though? Man... other than Fano, Lomu and Mauigoa, good luck finding a better finisher and pile driver among OTs in the class.

    Now revisiting this.

I still like the likes of Blake Miller, Caleb Tierman and Trevor Goosby (assuming he declares). Xaiver Chaplin entered the transfer portal so he isn't on my list anymore. Barber, Shelton, both the Utah OTs and Isaiah World are all OT prospects I have either now have rated much lower (doubly so for the Utah OTs) or have them switch positions (World is better suited for IOL because he isn't as tall as Oregon lists him). I still would love nothing more for Kadyn but he is a blue chip OT who isn't happening.

That said, I would recommend people watch Markus Bell from Miami. 6'9, 345lbs. He won't win too many leverage battles in the run game but he isn't lacking in either power or strength. As far as Pass Protection goes?! To me, he is the second best overall in the class.

He won't go as high as I have him rated (hint hint on my newest revision to my Big Board Rankings) but he would oh most definitely be worth selecting within the Top 40; Top 32 even.

Well, the Jones injury definitely puts OT on the radar. Maybe Cook competes and wins the starting job, but we probably should make sure that we have another option if Jones' injury turns out to be a serious one.

I'd really like to avoid OT in the first if at all possible, since this team needs quite a lot (WR is a desperate need, and we probably need to take one in the first and one in the third). However, it may become a need. I'm hoping Jones is able to just rest the rest of the year and be ready to go for 2026, but you never know with neck injuries.

tierman is probably the best pass blocking T. as for guard the kid from ohio state that was a tackle for them siereveld is highly rated and may be an option. i believe either or both could be there 2-3rd rounds easily.

All the more reason I cannot dispute the fact that, should he somehow, someway be available, Kadyn Proctor will very much be on Pittsburgh's radar. Pittsburgh has already went to the Tide's games four times during the 2025 College Football Season. There is simply no way that Steelers Scouts ignored Kadyn while closely paying attention to Ty Simpson. Mind you this is before Broderick got injured. Broderick getting injured, a neck stinger injury no less, is the last thing the Steelers needed.

On the off topic discussion about Simpson?! Remove his name from the 2026 NFL Draft Class list of QBs. For me, he was already going back given how very suspect he played during the second half of the season. His Bowl Performance against Indiana all but confirmed he is.

^^^^ This was posted in 9-2025. Before Mr. Cook proved he can play well.
