That's the first team I thought that would go after him.

Sorry, off topic but I was wondering about night games in the Burgh. At what time does tailgating begin?? Do a lot of people go into the stadium really buzzed? Will the cold hinder the amount of fans tailgating?

I was surprised by this; Gainwell has the most receptions on the Steelers. And he has more receptions to the MOF (12) than any other receiver for the Steelers.

Like Rodgers said....He gonna get paid!

Parking lots open 5 hours before the game

Night games have a lot more drunks and because of this my wife doesn’t even want to go to night games

Temperature will affect the number of tailgates but the diehards will be out plus kickoff temp is 28 that’s not exceptionally cold for a football game

The Cleveland game was a head scratcher. Gainwell had twice as many snaps against the Brownsas Warren; while Warren averaged 5.3 ypc on only 12 carries. Both Warren and Gainwell's long run of the day was 15 yards each. Gainwell averaged 3.7 ypc.

Not sure why the Steelers had Warren on the sideline most of the game, and did not allow Warren and his 5.3 YPC on the field more??? Bad play calling by Arthur Smith and Company?

It’s not only his play, he’s got that to go go go. Sadly lacking at times.
We’ve a few players with it now, thankfully, but it’s been lacking at times.

    IMO

They really need to use him tonight, especially in the passing game I think. His hands are incredible, and the Steelers should be able to create mismatches for him.

The backfield finished the year so well for us, and we’re a massive bright spot on an otherwise average offense.

Warren finished with 958 yards rushing (6 TD) at 4.5 ypc, and 333 yards receiving (2TD) for 1291 total yards and 8 total TD’s. This was in 15-1/2 games (missed a game and one half of another to injury). He did so without losing a fumble. A big time year and a really efficient player. He’s a quality lead back and should stay that way for the next couple years.

Gainwell had 537 yards rushing (5 TD) at 4.7 ypc and had 486 yards receiving (3 TD). This gave him 1023 total yards and 8 total TD’s. Gainwell became an integral part of the passing attack without a viable second WR and really found a way to make an impact for us. He stresses the defense differently than Warren does. He is lightning quick and has great hands. I’d love to have him back on an extension and keep him and Warren together for another couple years splitting the backfield.

What a great year for the Steelers RB room and it’s really the type of excitement that we’ve been missing back there almost as far back as Le’Veon Bell. There was a lot of hand wringing about losing Harris, but I wouldn’t trade either one of the guys we have straight up for Harris. The FO got this one way right. Kudos to them and hopefully they can extend the big year deep into the playoffs!

I was saying a couple games in he needed to be our lead back and Warren comes in to spell him. He’s the better all around back IMO.

Le’Veon Bell was a beast. These guys are good, but Le’Veon was a stud. I don’t know if our running back room is as good or close to as good as when he was there. Plus he had Williams backing him up. He was a beast as well.

That isn't what I meant by it. I think Bell is the best Steelers RB ever (and would've been seen that way had he just signed with us instead of holding out then going to the Jets). I don't think either of them are as good as Bell.... I think our RB room as a whole is the best it has been since Bell (for the reasons mentioned).

By making Gainwell team MVP the Ravens shadowed him. He had a great kick return, but had a lot more pressure on offense.

Interesting stats on Gainwell. He led the team with 73 receptions, the first running back to lead the team since John L. Williams in 1994. However, his average yards per catch of 6.7 is the lowest figure of any team leader in receptions in franchise history. Gainwell is only the second RB to catch more than 70 passes in a season in team history after Le'veon Bell.

Sure that’s why the Ravens shadowed him

It had nothing to do with Metcalf being out and therefore Gainwell was our #1 receiver

No freaking way. Bell ran against the least amount of 8 man boxes in the league for two years straight. You can find this . It's why DeAngelo Williams said when He was leading the league in rushing when he took Bells spot during Bells suspension, that it was no biggie , because the Rb was the last thing people were worried about when facing the Steelers then. He also said Bell had a different thing coming when he left, and had never been the 1st thing a team would try shutting down, and when Bell went to the Jets he would see. Bell was good, but far from the best rb the Steelers have ever had. Do you know what the Bus , Bam Morris, B Foster, and Franco to name a few would have done with this.

You seem to be trying to give him credit for missing time with injury. That was one of the ways Harris was better than Warren, durability. The same is true of how he is used. Do you really think they are limiting his carries and touches for no reason? The guy has never shown that he can be a true primary back.

Gainwell is 5th in total YAC in the NFL. That's where his value is. And Warren has a 115 Receiver rating. Both RBs are good in open space.

(btw, can we please stop throwing to Jonnu behind the LOS? That is just a wasted play. He's one of the weakest TEs at breaking a tackle.)

I was visiting my wife's family in WV. It was August. It got down into the 50s at night and I thought I would freeze.
