Id rather face Houston than Buffalo because of the QB. That Bills Jacksonville game is going to be awesome. By far best game of rd 1. Eagles 9ers should also be good.

Josh Allen and the Bills really have our number. I'll take my chances with the Texans.

Derrick Henry is why it was an issue. All eyes were on him. Marks and Chubb probably won’t get as much attention

Texans will be a different game, Stroud can sling it all over the field.

It’s going to be tough sledding for our offense. CJ Stroud can lay a turd though if our defense can actually communicate.

Getting Metcalf back is a real thing. Now if they can continue to get something out of Austin and keep using Muth more, they can get some things done by keeping the defense guessing if they spread it around a little and Metcalf can hurt them in single man coverage or force double-teams on him.

I am encouraged by the play of the defensive line since Harmon came back. They are balling right now.

The secondary just can't continue to blow coverages for easy touchdowns. Also, some of the defensive calls were a little puzzling. If they can clean some of that up, they can be dangerous and play with anyone.

A caller on the post-game show made a good point it was a good thing the Steelers were out of the timeouts at the end, this way Tomlin couldn't ice the Ravens kicker who missed the game winning FG ;).

This didn't happen in the first game between the two. Why did it happen this time?!

Henry had 60 yds against a weak Bengals D in the week prior to playing the Steelers the first time. He also didn’t carve us up in the first half of game 1. This time he is coming off a game where he had 216 yards against a very good Packers D and didn’t seem like he was going to let off after the first half. That’s going to get some attention

    1. Well, thankfully Loop missed after the Boz miss

    2. Yeah played a great second hal

    3. the ravens abandoned the run when we started winning first down (and they got themselves penalized)

    4. Eh, the first one was less his fault as we sent the house and he gambled on the rush getting there. It got picked up and they got behind him… the blown coverage was bad, though I’m not sure it was him or Samuel (even Dugger). Without seeing it again it’s hard to tell if that was truly his coverage. last play he was in position, just mistimed the break up swipe. It was just a good play by Likely and Lamar

    5. He played an awesome game. Best of the year when we needed him

    6. Yeah, but the third down at the end of the game where Lamar got the ball out could’ve ended it if he made that sack. Hesitated a bit and didn’t ya wrap his arm and let him throw it away.

    7. They played great. They were our best weapons out there and each of them made some big plays. The amount of upgrade these two are from the last couple years is hard to overstate. They’re both really nice backs.

    8. well, I’m not sure it had anything to do with us finding him and more with Hamilton’s concussion. As soon as 14 left, the TE’s were magically open (particularly muth). He had a nice game and a couple big plays for us (on third down and in the fourth quarter). We might not win that one if Hamilton stays in the game.

    9. I didn’t love the plan. We tried a lot of shotgun early but then made a good counter to the pitches to Warren and having Heyward lead block as FB. Getting the run game going helped a ton.

    10. well, the blown coverage was bad, but the other was a broken play after Highsmith and Benton whiffed a sure sack. I’m less worried about that play. I’m sure we will get it figured out. I wouldn’t hate to see Porter try to lock Collin’s up one on one a lot next week.

    11. yeah, it was a roller coaster. Went from thinking we could win, to thinking we blew it, to winning it again, to box blowing it, to the kickoff blowing it, the 4th down losing it (why do we suck on 4th down so hard?), to the jubilation of a miss that I didn’t expect. I’m still amped up even now…

Yeah I saw there was some people saying he had his X replies turned off almost immediately after the game… can’t blame him… I’m sure dozens, if not hundreds, of death threats and the hundreds of ****ty messages headed his way would’ve sucked to deal with. I’m glad he missed but you feel for him as a human. That’s legitimately gotta be top 5 worst moments in his entire life. The aftermath just pours salt on the wound…

That kickoff at the end where the Ravens had the big return…

What do you think was the coaches thinking there? Do you think he was told to put the ball in play, or Boz just didn’t have the leg to kick it out?

My first thought is to kick it out and not give them the chance of a return.

The play calling was like what are you doing. Every run was right up the middle. Ramsey my goodness get rid of him. He got brunt twice tonight against Flowers. Then Likely on the last drive.

Boz messed up twice at the end of the game and almost cost us the season. He usually money.

As long as they fix whatever was going on with the breakdown in the secondary their defense should be able to hold the Texans in check and maybe they win a low scoring affair.
