This is the type of guy we need at NT 6'3 320-330lbs.

I think he's currently projected as a 3rd round project for the NFL. As a junior he may want to stay another season at Oregon and improve his draft stock. Way too early to tell either way.

Another reason I don't have him going into the Draft. That said, I can see a lot of Oregon Players will one more year of eligibility left return. NIL has changed both College Football and the NFL in a big way.

On one hand, things may end up being like Drew Allar in terms of how A'Mauri's College Career could end. On another hand, things could end up being like Cam Ward as well. At the bare minimum though, these young people still have a solid financial ground to stand on when they do enter.

It just depends on what he wants to do. I don't know how much NIL money a NT gets (I'm assuming some), but he might think coming back gives him a shot at first or second round. He might think he will test well at the combine and find himself in the second round (which is good for a NT) and declare anyways.

I have advocated for him in the second for quite some time. A draft that sees us get Tyson/Tate/Lemon in the first, Washington in the second, and a OG, another WR, and an ILB/S/CB in the third would be fire.

I think NT is an easy position to evaluate for the draft. We need a 2 down run defender and goal line defender. We also need a Guard.

While much attention is one Wide Receiver, you can find good ones in round two or three.

Yep. I have no idea what he will do either. I'm only repeating what I read on him. His projections that I can find so far. And yes, I do understand those are very different from how coaches scout these guys. You keep throwing names out there to discuss and hopefully we will all keep a discussion going.

Yeah our third round receiver is working out pretty good right now... we gotta actually invest in the position. If we skirt around WR again its going to be infuriating. We either sign a good #2 to solid money or draft one in the first round. There really is no other option.

Yeah, the projections can be a bit weird this time of year. NFL Draft Blitz has him as a late second, PFF has him as an early second... They will be all over the place. Combine and team meetings will give us a better idea.

In the past the Steelers did very well with round three WR's.

Yeah, they have... but this WR room has legitimately one player that will be under contract next year that is NFL caliber (considering Skowronek a ST player, and he would stay). Miller, Austin, and MVS can all go. Theilen will retire. The whole room needs an overhaul and putting real draft capital into the position will be required. We can draft a first rounder and still need to sign a WR3 that could be a WR2 in a pinch (maybe Marquise Brown? Romeo Doubs?). Or we can just draft a first rounder and a third rounder and sign a vet mentor like Raymond or Smith Schuster. Going into next year with a new third round pick and a bunch of scrubs like Austin and Miller should be a fire-able offense for Weidl and Khan, considering the dumpster fire the position has been the past two seasons.

Yeah, they should either sign a WR in free agency and draft one or draft two WRs.
