My thoughts on reg season wk 18

1. Of course Steeler/Ravens comes down to the kickers

2. Aaron Rodgers was clutch

3. Derrick Henry had 100 yds in the 1st half...
He had less than 30 in the 2nd

4. Jaylen Ramsey was a dear in headlights most of the game

5. Cam Heyward was a man possessed

6. Nick Herbig came up big

7. Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell were clutch

8. Nice of the offense to find Muth again

9. 1st half play calling was head scratching

10. Please get the deep middle of the defense figured out before Nico Collins comes to town

11. Absolutely need some oxygen after this one

 

10 is especially important. Don't know why that was an issue all night. Hopefully that gets fixed.


One more point?!


Dylan Cook is gonna have another test coming up. Will Anderson Jr. He was shaky tonight. Here is hoping he has a bounce back game.

Despite the recency bias, I am feeling fairly confident in thinking that this was one of the greatest regular season wins in team history.

I want to be mad at the defense. I want to be mad at Highsmith and Benton for that missed sack. I want to be mad at Ramsey for sucking all night. I want to be mad at Boswell for choking on an extra point.

I just can't do it. I've got nothing but shock and joy right now. I got to watch this with my daughter, which is a rare thing. The way she squealed and hugged me when Loop missed that kick was something I will never forget.

Script writers did great with missed extra point and following it up with missed field goal, after that improbable catch on 4th down. Way to go in constructing roller coaster of emotions.

My only thought is really two bad teams trying to lose the game. Yikes.

 

Spot on as usual. First half play calling was especially bad. 1 yard / 1 play before halftime. I support going for it but for crying out loud, go heavy with the extra OL, put a big man in to lead block and road grade the middle and get in the EZ. I'll add that Rodgers was total ass in 1st half. Way too many balls in the dirt or completely missing open WRs. Refs had their usual horseshıt calls in 1st half that made it look like the fix was in. The rats kicker is officially mud in baltimoron. That dude might want to go into hiding. His choke dwarfed Boz's choke but he sure as hell doesn't get a pass.

 

This is why I watch sports. I am irrationally happy right now. I will wake up tomorrow hung over and get to watch the highlights and smile through my pain

 

I almost feel bad for their kicker. ALMOST. He’s gonna have a rough time with that fan base.

That is a game I will always remember for rest of my life. The OP and others have covered my main thoughts already.

But on the flip side, Harbaugh and their OC deserve heat from their fans for once again failing to continue to give Henry carries in 2nd half. I think Henry only had 5 or 6 carries in 2nd half.
