We talk about a "Tomlin type loss". But is this not setting up as a "Tomlin type WIN?"

Someone here once told us that the QB makes receivers good. I’m sure that wasn’t you, right?

It was, and if You will remember I said to a point. You can only help a bad wr so much, and on top of that, our Qb isn't helping crap if the last game is anything to go off of. 10 years ago with Rodgers, I'd stick to that saying. Rodgers right now, He needs all the help he can get.

Well by gosh if only the Steelers had some veteran receivers
topped off by a 3rd&19 58 yard completion to Roman Wilson
    VICTORY

Both teams are mediocre and inconsistent. Who knows who will win the battle of, "win and get kicked around in the playoffs."

Based on last week and a decade of trends, the only way I see us winning is by forcing 5 or 6 turnovers... and maybe win by 3. Or maybe if the whole Ravens team gets the flu.

And then go down 21-0 in the first quarter against Houston (or whoever)...

    Or...

Anyone who follows the NFL would probably bet their house that the AFCN and NFCS winners won't be playing in Feb.

did you not read what i put up? They still have two very good TE’s (J Smith was a pro bowler last year) and we have Thielen, who Viking fans would love to have back.

Tomlin and AR need to use them.

What is it with your excuses for this stale coach with 19 years behind him? Who hasnt sniffed a super bowl in 15 years.

The game vs the Browns really hurt Tomlin I think. It followed 2 games where things really seemed to turn around. If he had beat the Browns, he gets a bye week vs the Ravens and goes into the playoffs with a rested TJ, DK is back and rested, and several other players got a bye or light play in week 18. Now, it is a slug fest. If we lose, the fans will slide bed warmers under his mattress and forget to put the burning coal into a pan first. If we win a playoff game, things are better but losing to the Browns will tarnish it as another 'Tomlin special'.

So I don't see any true upside for Tomlin for the rest of this season, just paths with less feedback.

There is no excuses. Neither one of those guys have done what DK, or Washington has. How hard is this for You to understand??? Also it doesn't matter who is out there if Rodgers doesn't throw to them, or are You one of the people that think the coaches tell the Qb who he has to throw to??? They were out there last week.

huh? PF has more TD’s and yards than DW THIS year. Darnell has all of 1 TD and O hundred yard games. Yeah i think they should try using PF and Jonnu Smith more. This game would be a good start. And Thielen was a 1000 yard receiver just a couple years ago. AR and Tomlin and his staff should put their heads together and use these guys. otherwise they should all be shown the door as far as I’m concerned.

wake up and smell the coffee man.

Definitely set up for a classic Tomlin win. Odds against them, counted out, Tomlin didn't let the team quit, fought hard for him for 60 minutes. He'll be a national hero again and all the talking heads will be making fun of Steeler fans calling for Tomlin to go because we don't know how good we have it.

Then the first playoff game happens..

We have hit the skids in closing out the season for several years.

I think our players' psyche to fight is at a low tide right now. Our #1 WR and TE are out for the game Our QB berates players at players ( pissing them off ) and is old as dirt.

And you think Tomlin is setting us up for a win?

We must have them right where we want them! We need some fighters for his game. Too bad DK is out because his puglism is needed against these Rats.

There is more to playing TE then yards caught, but I can tell You don't understand that. Washington has barely less yards, and blocks 10× better. You, know this, I know this, and everyone knows this, but Your feelings as usual get in the way of facts.
Do You know How I know this from You, and other people???
We can be talking about everything under the sun about football, and you certain people can't help but bring up Tomlin’s name. He occupies every moment of your lives. What does it feel like to be that obsessed with someone You don't even know??? LoL.
Most people: Hey I really think maybe we should run a double screen a few more times this year.
You obsessed people: Tomlin is stale, I don't like Him, and he should be fired.
    LoL
You guy bring Tomlin’s names up when nobody is even talking about him.
    Obsessed much???
I believe the answer is because you don't really understand the game, and that's all You can talk about.

not using PF, Smith and Theilen was a fail on the coaching staffs and AR’s part. But mostly Tomlin and his staff. It was a poorly planned game. I dont care about Tomlin per se. i’d support him if it warranted it. But it doesnt. Hes an inconsistent coach, is poor at detailed game planning and has overstayed his time in pittsburgh for years now.

By Your illogical support of Tomlin and this staff you have to be a troll, and your playing dumb STD (or maybe its not an act).

    LoL. Again Obsessed much.
I don't give two $hits if they fire him tomorrow, but I don't have to introduce his name into every single freaking thing I write. Would you like for me to pull up the stuff You have written just in the last week??? No freaking matter what is talked about You bring him into it, even when it has nothing to do with the conversation.
Normal people: I've been thinking of having BBQ chicken for this game.
You: You know chicken can be good, but Tomlin has out worn his welcome , and he probably likes chicken so I don't want any.
Dude it's not healthy to obsess, let alone obsess over a person you don't even know.

You nailed it. Tomlin had to have multiple bungles by the opponent to win. A DB that mysteriously slips leaving Austin wide open and a field goal from close in that missed by 10 yards. LOL. Only Tomlin. Feels like we backed into a playoff spot being a bit less sucky than the Ravens.

Now, if they look competent against the Texans, a whole different club right now, I'll have to give some credit. But beating up a hobbled, snake-bit Ravens team with a Tomlin-clone head coach...not that impressive.

Does it feel like we backed into a playoff spot? We were in first place almost the entire year and ended up sweeping the Ravens to win the division. If we had got in as a wildcard team due too another team losing then I would agree but we won the division with double digit wins.

Yup Tomlin never gets credit, only blame.
If he were only like Cowher. He won a SB and never needed an opponents missed field goal to do it.:lolol:
