Says he will have multiple options in Free Agency next year. He already realizes he’s never winning one here and riding off into the sunset.

I admire him for his fiery competitive spirit, but not sure why he thinks he needs to keep going. Seen it before though with pro athletes that just don't realize it's time to retire.

Time to move on and get a younger QB.

I’d like to kick the tire on Willis and see what Howard brings to the table.

I would resign him if he wants to play. He has a high football IQ and his arm is still good.

I think it's his business what he does. It's his life. You can only play this game for a limited number of years. If he wants to play more, who are we to say he shouldn't?

Whether we agree that it is in the best interests of the Steelers is another question, but I don't begrudge anyone living their dream for as long as they can.

If he could land in a Brady-like situation, surrounded by offensive talent, i have no doubt he'd be successful. He's still got it.. the smarts and arm are still there. I don't know if the Steelers promised him more offensive firepower, or if they expected Jonnu Smith to play like a Pro Bowler.. but, Rodgers has gotta be disappointed with what he's had to work with this season.

I mean, he did say he'll have multiple options, but I didn't take that as he's ready to leave Pittsburgh, as he also said his time in Pittsburgh has exceeded his expectations and such. He came off as someone that wants to return to Pittsburgh (if he doesn't retire) as long as Pittsburgh wants him to return.

Why did he come here then?

Did he say that or are you reading his mind?

And that is half of what DJBull**** stated Rodgers said.

The second half apparently was bull****.

Like a lot of guys that think it’s cool to play for Tomlin they quickly realize they won’t win jack **** with him.

Read the post again Father Time. I said he said he will have multiple options meaning not the Steelers. The second part I theorized saying he realizes what a joke Tomlin is.

    That's not my problem.
    That's a Jets problem.
What I'm getting at is any team that has not already got their franchise Qb is not going to be a way better place for Him to go to, and he could end up with a team worse than the Jets.
I can't think of a team without a franchise Qb that is better than us off the top of my head.

I'm pretty sure Rodgers will retire at the end of the year. Sunday night will probably be the last game of his illustrious career.

Aaron Rodgers on if he's played the kind of football he wanted to this year: "I mean, at times, yeah, definitely. You know, anytime you're in a first-year offense, there's always some growing pains within the offense. It's always you feel like if you had another year, you know what you could do. I look at the way I played in 2019 and then kind of the adjustments we made in the off season, and then the way I played in 2020, which was just in a whole kind of different level. I felt like, and I used to tease [Matt] LaFleur about this all the time, I was a game manager in 2019 and a game impactor in 2020 and 2021. I think a lot of that's just familiarity with the offense and with the guys. We've done the best we could with our conversations and our meeting time outside the facility and our meeting time in the facility. But obviously, the more years you get in a system with the same guys, the more continuity you have, the better you feel like you can play."

    https://x.com/i/status/2006493109191164173

Aaron Rodgers: "You always think about the what-if and the alternative timelines of your life. But if I hadn't taken this path, I never would have met so many guys in the locker room who I now call close friends and wouldn't have the experiences and the memories on the field, wouldn't have been able to be in the room with Tom Arth again and Bake [Matt Baker] and be able to play for Arthur Smith and Mike Tomlin. And I feel like there would be a little hole in my life missing without having this chapter. So I'm thankful for this time."

    https://x.com/i/status/2006492809185136948
Aaron Rodgers: "Listen, I'm thinking about this week, but obviously I'm 42 years old, and I'm on a one-year deal, so you know what the situation is. Whenever the season ends, I'll be a free agent, so that will give me a lot of options if I still want to play. I mean, not a lot of options, but there'll be options, I would think maybe one or two if I decide I still want to play. But I've enjoyed this experience, and everybody in Pittsburgh has been fantastic to me on and off the field, and it's really what I was hoping for, for this experience was it's been even better than I was hoping."
