Wallace unimpressive so far and reportedly has no chemistry with Tannenhill.

I know, super early but I mostly posted this for Jack :lolol:

There are some red flags in there though, given his performance last season (not terrible but not worthy of the deal he got) and the fact that he hasn't caught a single long pass yet dating back to team activities and mini camps.

So there you go Jack, have at em :butcher:

He must be distracted by other players getting attention.

Obviously I want him to have success this year to ensure a 3rd round comp pick (especially since we have no third rounder of our own!).

I know it's mostly based on contract so it's looking good, but can anyone tell me just how badly he'd have to play (or how much time he'd have to miss if he gets hurt) for us to get something less?

The league seems somewhat bi-polar on how players who go to IR are factored for comp picks, but I believe it wouldn't really matter, due to the length of his contract. As far as I'm aware, it only becomes an issue if the FA who was lost signs to a short term deal.

I live in south Florida and with the Dolphins training camp opening a few days ago some reports are already coming out of camp on Wallace. First of all they love him down here and in the Dolphins camp. He made the quote the other day that, Tannehill has a stronger arm the Ben. Reports out that he and Tannehill are not on the same page yet and it mentioned he has dropped some balls thrown his way. He is expected to be a leader there so I really don't wish him any bad luck, just hope he can do as expected of him or he will surely have a hard time with the fans here.

LOL! Thanks for looking out for me, BF. I predicted before and stand by my prediction that within 3 years Wallace will be a cap casualty. The Fins will regret paying a king's ransom to somebody that's fast and...well, he's fast and he's..., well you know how fast and...OKAY, HE'S JUST FAST!

In all seriousness:eek: Wallace is lightning fast and he can be effective as a subordinate receiver, a 2 or a 3. The Fins brought him in to be the guy and overpaid him big time, IMHO. DCs are very smart in the NFL today and they know how to handle a single skill guy like Wallace. As long as you keep the top on, a physical CB can throw him off his pattern early as long as he has sufficient help over the top. Wallace may be the best thing to happen to Devon Bess, and I think he'll be the guy to have the breakout season down there, not Wallace.

Unless Wallace develops significantly in his route running, hands, blocking, YAC, contesting for the ball, etc., the Fins made a $65 million dollar mistake this off-season.

Thanks again for teeing this up for me, BF.

I was sorta expecting this to happen, but not this soon. Bet it's only down hill from here for poor ol mikey. Glad we got rid of the weight.

The concern continues. NFL Network reported tonight that Wallace missed practice on Monday and that he and Tannehill are off to a very slow start together. The report continues to be that they have no chemistry. Warren Sapp said Wallace needs to be a 100 catch guy and not a 60 catch guy to earn his $60 mill and he doubted that Wallace has that in him. For once I agree with Sapp.

Oh my! This could get ugly if he doesn't catch a few long balls early in the season. Methinks they'll try to force it a whole lot!
