Let's continue to excuse Tomlin for a 9 year playoff win drought.

Can’t wait for Collinsworth to slobber all over Mikey’s non losing season record Sunday night. If I drank a shot every time it will be mentioned I might pass out by half time. :tequila:

In the home playoff losses to the Browns and Jags, the entire team face planted coming out of the gate. Ben certainly has culpability, however vs. the Jags he had the comeback in full swing but the defense couldn’t get 3rd down stops when the run defense forced Bortles to the air (yeah, Bortles).

At KC we had no chance, and started the game strong on defense. We really had no business being in the playoffs that year. I have no issues with the leadership or game preparation for that loss. It would have been nice to keep them under a 40-burger, but oh well.

At Buffalo I really don’t know what could have happened had we not come out looking flat and unprepared while digging a 21-0 hole. The comeback that made it slightly interesting was good to see, but when you put up no fight whatsoever for the first 20 minutes. I really don’t expect that we would have prevailed, but we’ll never know whether a stronger early game performance would have cause the Bills to get butt puckered and play into an ugly upset.

Last year in Baltimore. This is the one that stings the most along with the Browns loss. The early part of that game was one of the ugliest “roll over and whimper” performances I’ve ever seen. Absolutely pathetic. There looked to be a complete dearth of game planning, effort and execution across the board. This was not a game vs. an unknown foe that we don’t know. We had beaten the Ravens with Lamar multiple times in ugly slobberknockers, but completely failed.

I’d also be remiss if I don’t point out the lost 2018 season with the 0-3 stretch vs. the AFCW, including bad losses to the 6-10 Broncos and 4-12 Raiders, plus the blown 23 point lead vs. the Chargers.

The key here is that in 4 recent playoff losses the Steelers crash landed out of the gate with miserable 1st quarter performances that all but eliminated any chance of competing. Well led teams generally don’t do that, and certainly not 4 times in less than a decade. Well led teams find a way to at least compete.

But, but, but... McVey losing to Falcons.

Last time I checked, Kirk Cousins is a pretty good QB when the OL blocks and he's healthy.

Shedeur Sanders is no Kirk Cousins.

The Bills game got out of hand with the early turnovers. Pickens had a fumble and I believe Warren did as well.

You can’t have turnovers against a good team at their stadium and expect to win.

That Rams loss just jogged a thought: heading into Week 17 there were 3 NFCW teams vying for the #1 seed, with 2 of those teams playing for the #1 seed this Sunday. Sucks to be the Cardinals lol!

Mason threw a killer interception in the endzone that killed any chance of a comeback too.

The Rams got screwed in the last few seconds on a terrible non pass interference call. The Ram's WR was ready to catch the ball after a 50 yard throw from Stafford but got blasted by the Falcons DB a full second before the ball arrived. The announcers and the ref in the booth couldn't believe that there was no flag.

Agree. To me, the key point of winning in post season isn't who is necessarily a better team as they are all NFL professional talented teams. I think of the Giants/ NE Super Bowl.
Who had a better team. NE was undefeated and Giants a 6th seed
Who had a better QB. NE had the GOAT but Eli wasn't a hack either.
Who had a better game plan: IMO the Giants did in shutting TB's dink and dunk down
Who won: The team that was best prepared not the great NE Pats.
What made this a huge upset? COACHING which created a great game plan and prepared players.
I didn't think the Eagles were the better team last year in the SB but they won. Lots of intangibles come into play and sometimes you make your own luck when opportunity meets preparation.

The question is simply about fans’ perception of the team. Simply curiosity. I probably should of included a list of the people that couldnt help themselves and would turn it into the usual bullcrap.

Steelers were NOT ready to play or compete in most of these games

With the game over by half, getting Boat Raced.

You can be the under dog n still compete n make these football games where outcome is in doubt

Much like this past Sunday they show up not focused. W a terrible game plans, n get embarrassed

    Time for that to end

Yeah, Jacksonville was just a bad matchup for them. They probably would've gotten a more favorable matchup had they gotten the #1 seed.

They had no chance in that Buffalo game Rudolph vs Allen is taking a knife to a gun fight, Pickens fumbled early and Rudolph threw that interception in the endzone was a killer play for an underdog team.

Good coaching is supposed to win at least 2 of those games.

The real issue is being outscored 79-0 in the first quarter of those games.

and wtf are these ads so aggressive on here? dammit.
