As far as big games go, the next one is a dream come true for most any fan. Hated opponent, heated rivalry, injuries raising the need for an unexpected hero, all on the line, win or go home, at your home stadium, national prime time. This is the scenario for every young kid who dreams of playing football recites in his head while playing in the back yard. Movies are made about this kind of game. Looking forward to seeing who steps up and how it all unfolds.

    Wave that towel.

Fair enough, but annoying game to play in without DK, Darnell, Echols, Pierre, Watt, Semalo, etc...obviously I don't know if some of those guys make it back, but very annoying to lose to a 3-12 team when a week off would have been highly beneficial. Not to mention the wear and tear of a Ravens week the week before the playoffs.

Hard to build excitement for a game like this after a loss like that.

I would feel more optimistic if Metcalf, Wahington, Austin was all playing.

Are you serious? I’m a big Steeler fan, and I completely expect them to get blown out Sunday night. Have you not watched them the last 5 years? Big late season game against a good team. The Steelers will play terrible, look completely overmatched, and it will be over by halftime.
That’s not being negative, that’s just being realistic.

Were coming into the game after a disappointing loss to the lowly Browns. Our top WR, who AR favors above all the others, is still out, Washington has a broken hand or arm, and Watt has been MIA all season. Hoping for a win but i have to confess not too positive about it. Even if we win i dont know how far we can get with a Qb who is too old and is afraid to take a hit and a coaching staff that cannot provide that extra edge.

I'll watch. I fully expect a three and out with Smith catching a screen for a gain of two on 3rd and 7. First series.

A shame watching the talent get wasted.

I'll always be a die-hard Steelers fan, so I always want them to make the playoffs.

That being said - I think this coming game is a double-edged sword. Should we win to take the North, I feel (history shows precedent) that we'll be emotionally spent and get steam-rolled in round 1. Hoping for better, expecting the usual.

“This is the scenario for every young kid who dreams of playing football”??

Really? Their dream should consist of being thankful that we have a HC that sucks at his job, which consistently results in us losing to sh*tty teams, especially when it matters the most??

That young kid is sure going to be disappointed this Sunday when his team gets annihilated.

I know I am being way too positive or theoretical but Ravens have shown to be poor against zone so combine this with Theilen and Miller being zone killers and it can be interesting on paper at least.

I felt like the Steelers had 0% chance of beating Baltimore a few weeks ago after the Buffalo loss and they won. Ravens have problems too and Harbaugh is as bad as MT at this point. Biggest issue is no DK. Our offense without him is beyond putrid.

This is exactly why I feel the NFL "scripts" the outcome of games. Not all of them of course. The NFL is all about entertainment anymore and what's more entertaining than the last regular season game of the year being between two hated rivals playing for a division title? The only division that doesn't have a participant in the playoffs yet? It's too "hollywood" to be believed.

In the first matchup the Ravens couldn't cover Metcalf with him being out they will probably stack the box.

Nope not excited at all about Sunday night. All the enthusiasm went out the window when we choked against a 3-12 team with a horrible rookie QB.

Browns will draft yet another qb next draft

Hard to get excited when we’ve been consistently let down the past decade. One can only take so much.

silver lining is I think there’s a decent chance Tomlin walks away if they lose.

If the Ravens win both teams will be 9-8. Neither will go far in the playoffs. I still hope we can win anyway.

The question is whether Tomlin allows Rodgers to use the whole field or if he lives in his fears as he usually does. If we don't make the Ravens defend the whole field, we'll see a repeat of yesterday's debacle.

I am a true believer we would not be in this position if not for dickhead hitting a fan.

I can't see how we win with no wide receiver who can catch the ball.

I'm being realistic about it. We are not going anywhere the SB even if we win. Then we have to put up with Tomlin and his Playoff record.

Probably different than most but I always look forward to an extra game or two in the season. If it's four extra, even better :clapping:. Not much else to do on a cold January Sunday.

    * Mike Tomlin is 30-16 SU but 13-31 ATS vs. poor offensive teams scoring <19 PPG since 2011
