If we lose today and to the Ravens, do we cut DK?

Well, I agree with the assumption that we miss the playoffs, but they still have to play the game. It would have been a major distraction for the team to throw in the towel right now and say “we are voided Metcalf’s guaranteed money.”

Next Monday morning could be a different story.

Thanks for stating that.... I had MVS on my mind..
Out of all that info, this doesn't present much value nor change the premise any - he is still in the 30 bracket, though one could say talented but brainless/classless.
The bottom line is that he sabotaged us.

Even more stupid is the fact we could not find a way to get 1400 yards out of a 24-yeard-old Pickens, sent him away and added MVS (31) and Thielen (35) to some S-Mart blue light specials, exception being oft injured Austin who would be #3 or #4 spot guy on most teams.
Sad that we left ourselves so bad off that DK's suspension damaged us so much.

Question is, do we need to sign a babysitter to sit with this group and see that they don't wander off to the stands and instead sit with the group or QB and look at what is going on the field?
We need some better adults in the room.

He made a big mistake but I don't think they give up on him hopefully he has learned his lesson, they need to bring in at least two receivers in the offseason.

Oh.... gottcha. Yes, that is correct.
My intention would be after the game.

I've gotten mixed results on the question of 'does it really allow a void' or are we just appeasing him?
I understand Tomlin's "We don't condone his actions, we support him" - That's the good side of Tomlin.
But I would have to have that conversation about what his actions just did.
    I agree with your points.

Get rid - he stinks and threw his team under the bus anmd ruined the season.

I'd cut him no question, he's useless anyway. Pickens is also a douche but he's an elite talent, this guy couldn't catch a cold.

Well, I've absolutely made the point that we have the conversation before any actions.
He sabotaged every one of his teammates and fans.
Yes, Omar owns a good portion of blame for inability/neglect as does Tomlin. We should not have been so thin on WR talent.
I agree with finding 2 more quality (1 Free Agent, 1 drafted would be my guess)
But that challenges my confidence in our front office to do that.

They haven't got a clue whaat they are doing at WR. That's proven beyond any doubt. Metcalf has been an absolute disaster and we have him 5/150...

Absolutely clueless from the "brains" trust.

To that point, I have wonder what size sledgehammer does Omar need to be hit with to understand that none of his rookie WR's are anything more than roster fillers.
    Add Tomlin to that also.

DK is by far, the best WR we have. But I'd have no problem at all if they cut him. He's not living up to his contract and his actions towards a "fan" couldn't have been more stupid or selfish to the team. Throwing a punch at the guy - even if he whiffed - was just seriously stupid. Yell at him. Give him the finger. But a punch? It cost him a stupid amount of money and could end up costing us a trip to the playoffs. Wouldn't surprise me if he goes on an AB trajectory. He's got a history of unstable behavior.

Thee great Roman Wilson, what an absolute bust, rumours are he hasn't even learned the playbook yet and he's been sat on his ass for 2 years. Get rid of him.

DK didnt kill the Steelers hopes today. What it did do was once again shine a light on how woefully unprepared Tomlin is on any given week. Did having DK suspended put the Steelers below the line to start with? Absolutely but they had 5 days to prepare a plan and execute it vs a Browns team concerned with nothing more than getting Garrett his record. Ben took a reciever corps of complete nobodies into Cleveland and won games. Those guys after that year disappeared never to be heard from again. Sorry I refuse to believe that Aaron Rodgers could not have played a better game with the players provided. We have seen lesser QB's and lesser recievers have huge games on any given Sunday. Jones and Bourne in SF combined for a 200 yard receiving game earlier this season. What the difference here? Coaching. Coaching that acknowledges the challenges and plans to meet that challenge and overcome it. Tomlin, Smith and Austin crapped the bed on this one. If the Steelers fail to qualify for the playoffs it won't be because DK was stupid and got suspended but because Tomlin's core philosophy is we dont concern ourselves with what other teams do. We will do what we do.
